Job Description: 

Job Summary

This role requires the individual to support in design and execution of Emiratisation initiatives across the bank, with an emphasis on development plans, succession planning and minimizing attrition among UAE national employees. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Support internal career progression of UAEN national employees
•    Work with relevant stakeholders including HRBPs (Human Resource Business Partners), People Capability, and People Managers to better understand individual’ development needs and ensure that each UAE national has a robust development plan
•    Assist in the implementation of learning and development initiatives for UAE National talent.  
•    Support UAE National engagement activities aiming to foster a sense of community in the Bank.
•    Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure better delivery of our strategy
•    Prepare reports and insights related to Emiratisations development initiatives.

•   Support in the implementation of the Emiratisation strategy to deliver against regulatory targets from Central Bank
•    Champion and act as a role model on the Group’s values and culture
•    Track succession plans are tracked, with development plans reviewed on a regular basis

•    Support in Implementing initiatives to help SCB UAE become the ‘Employer of Choice’ for Emiratis and strengthen our employer brand
•    Build and leverage relationships with EIBFS and top tier Universities to promote the SCB brand and increase uptake of the development programmes available to our employees

•   Have a detailed understanding of the Bank’s Risk Management framework and its impact on Emiratisation
•    Support Emiratisation team on action points for any risk related items relevant to Emiratisation

 

 

Skills and Experience

•   Experience within HR in the UAE (generalist HR experience required; Emiratisation experience preferred), experience in financial services would be an added advantage
•   Knowledge of the local labour laws and government regulations in the UAE
•   Commercially, culturally and diversity aware, with high sensitivity to the social, economic, and political environment
•   Uses knowledge, communication and relationship skills to positively influence key business decisions and create cross-team collaboration
•   Strong stakeholder management skills 
•   Excellent communication: clear oral and written skills (Arabic & English); effective questioning and active listening
•   Fluency in Arabic (writing/reading/speaking)

 

Qualifications

•    Degree in a related field
