Job Summary
The Opportunity
• We are looking for a seasoned corporate banking leader to act as the primary global relationship manager for a portfolio of large corporate clients across the UAE predominantly in Consumer and Retail sector.
• This is a senior client-facing role for someone who can bring together deep sector insight, strong commercial judgement and the full strength of Standard Chartered’s global network to deliver meaningful client outcomes and profitable franchise growth.
• As the trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, you will define and lead relationship strategies, mobilise product and coverage teams, originate new opportunities and take accountability for revenue, profitability, credit quality, conduct, compliance and risk acceptance across the client group.

What you’ll do
• Lead the development and execution of client relationship strategies for a designated portfolio of large corporate clients, driving the strategy around key consumer and retail clients.
• Act as the primary senior contact for clients, building trusted advisor relationships with decision makers and top management.
• Originate and grow high-quality business by identifying client needs across the Bank’s full product capabilities.
• Mobilise coverage teams, product partners and senior stakeholders across markets to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Own financial performance outcomes, including revenue growth, profitability, income quality and portfolio development.
• Maintain a strong focus on client outcomes, conduct, credit quality, AML, CDD, KYC and broader risk management obligations.
• Represent Standard Chartered professionally at senior levels across the region and internationally.
• Stay close to market, sector and regulatory developments affecting clients and relevant trading corridors.
• Champion the Bank’s brand, values, culture and Here for Good promise in all client and internal engagements.
What you’ll bring
• Significant Corporate & Investment Banking coverage experience, ideally gained across corporates and financial institutions in an international or regional environment.
• Strong understanding of corporate banking, financial products, complex client solutions and multi-market relationship management.
• Experience managing senior client relationships and engaging confidently with C-suite stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify opportunities, originate business and deliver sustainable financial outcomes.
• Sound knowledge of credit, risk, compliance, regulatory and governance requirements within a banking environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across countries, cultures and matrix teams.
• Experience leading, developing and retaining high-quality teams, including succession planning and capability building.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Degree-level education in business management, banking, finance or a related discipline.

• You will be expected to lead by example, set a strong tone on conduct and culture, collaborate closely with risk and control partners, and create the energy and commitment needed to deliver against key business priorities. You will also ensure people are appropriately trained, supported and equipped to operate effectively in a complex and evolving regulatory environment.
Risk, conduct and governance
• This role carries important responsibility for effective governance, risk identification and management, compliance with internal and external requirements, and the timely escalation and resolution of risk, conduct and control matters. You will be expected to demonstrate exemplary conduct and help embed the highest standards of ethics across the business.
Key stakeholders
• You will work closely with product partners, coverage teams, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Country CEOs, Markets, Transaction Services, Service Delivery and other senior stakeholders across the Bank. Externally, you will act as a trusted advisor and senior point of contact for clients and their leadership teams.
