Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    To ensure that the Department Operating Instructions (DOI), checklists, SLA are kept up to date and shared with the team-members and reviewed to ensure practicing of the same.

•    Review existing account opening processes and suggest best practices which can be implemented across the group.
•    Actively lead discussions and service calls with sub-custodians to improve Ops efficiency,  client experience, and closure of open items.
•    Timely updates to Management in case if any escalations, concerns etc

Key Responsibilities

•    Need to have the necessary expertise in the Settlement process of International Markets and Corporate actions.

•    Liaise with Implementation and Sales team to onboard clients and open accounts with sub custodians in the respective markets.

•    Review of the generic email address of Securities Services and ensure all client queries are responded as per the agreed turnaround time.
•    Avoid revenue leakage and ensure that there are no debits to P&L Accounts without appropriate authority
•    Achieve highest level of service standards for Client servicing by having service review calls with clients as well as ensure Nil client complaints or delay in responding to client enquiries
•    To develop strong working relationship between our GBS counterparts and ensure that account admin activities are undertaken diligently and within turnaround time
•    Collaborate with Operations and GBS teams in case of any change in market practices, sub-custodians etc. including communication to clients. 
•    Participate in RFPs/RFI and Due diligence meetings for prospect and existing clients. 
•    To lead and participate in projects initiated for risk-mitigation, service improvement, technology upgrade, regulatory etc.
•    Assist in coordinating, facilitating, and promoting understanding of operational risk, implementing it and management of it.
•    Ensure Adherence to all Group and country policy and procedures
•    Ensure adherence on an ongoing basis to all requirements of KYC/AML/sanction regulations as may be issued from time to time.
•    To lead and participate in projects initiated for peer reviews, internal/external audit, risk-mitigation, service improvement, technology upgrade, regulatory etc.

•    Provide succinct feedback to Product / Network to improve the current way of working.

•    To undertake periodic self-assessment on key controls to access the proper functioning and adequacy of existing controls
•    No Audit failures. Ensure all audits are cleared satisfactorily without any major finding
•    Escalation of any operational issue to the Head of Securities Services in a timely manner

 

Skills and Experience

  • Should be well versed with Custody Operations, especially in settlements.
  • Some Cash management background is a plus.
  • Good communication
  • MS Office knowledge
