Title: Specialist, Custody Operations (UAE National)

Key Responsibilities
- To Assist in achieving bank’s strategic objectives, maintain a robust risk framework as well as enhance client experience.
- Liaise with Implementation and Sales team to onboard clients and open accounts with sub custodians in the respective markets.
- Lead Service calls with Sub custodians including tracking and closure of open items.
- Lead and participate in projects initiated for risk-mitigation, service improvement, technology upgrade, regulatory, etc.
- Undertake periodic self-assessment on key controls to access the proper functioning and adequacy of existing controls.
- Assist in coordinating facilitating and promoting understanding of operational risk and in implementation and the management of it.
- Manage and process UAE and Regional Securities Services digital custody transactions.
- Ensure that turnaround times in respect of processing various transactions are met.
- Develop strong working relationship with GBS to ensure smooth workflow.
- Avoid revenue leakage and ensure that there are no debits to P&L Accounts without appropriate authority.
- Ensure that all internal account reconciliation escalations are addressed daily, and correction entries passed where required.
- Ensure that any nostro un-reconciled entries are escalated are kept to a minimum and are resolved daily.
- Translate documents from Arabic to English and vice versa.

- Finance and accounting background.
- Good English & Arabic language skills
