Job Summary

Purpose of this role is to operate and run the Financial Crime Surveillance Operations (FCSO) UAE Transaction Monitoring (TM), Name Screening (NS), Transaction Screening (TS) function.

Key Responsibilities


•    Day to day processing of List Management (LM), Production Orders (RO), TM, TS and NS cases in line with  AAA (Assess, Analyse and Act) procedures and in a timely manner within agreed TAT’s whilst maintaining Quality Control/Quality Assurance results in line with Group and local expectations.
•    Support Country Head FCSO/Regional Head FCSO with any complex investigations as required.
•    Ensure timely initiation of any follow up actions to effectively process cases in LM, TM, TS, PO and NS with clear narratives.
•    Reporting Internal Suspicious Activity Report (SAR’s) for cases escalated through FCSO screening or transaction monitoring processes to Country FCC / Country Money-Laundering Compliance Officer (CMLCO).
•    Ensure names are added to the watch lists on a timely basis.
•    Share high profile cases with Regional Cluster Head of FCSO to develop typologies and other materials to improve controls.

•    Understand technical aspects of systems relevant to Case Management. 

•    Inform senior management and relevant regulators of serious regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) and ensure that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
•    Collate, analyse and provide data to senior management and relevant governance/risk committees.
•    Design and maintain dashboards and metrics that allow FCSO and FCC to dynamically monitor financial crime risk and operational performance for key Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) processes.
•    Analyse and interpret data to produce reports that help the bank identify and manage emerging areas of risk / vulnerability and thus drive remediation action within the FCC function. 
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

 

Other Responsibilities

•    Embed “Here for good” and the Group’s brand and values in the team.
•    Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
•    Providing guidance and training to relevant value chain stakeholders (e.g. Country FCSO, New Joiners) when and as needed as directed by Country Head FCSO.
•    Provide back up support to Country FCSO team colleagues as required.
