Job Summary

As a Treasury Specialist, you’ll offer customised solutions for global capital markets, including deals, foreign exchange, and lending. You’ll proactively engage and partner with Relationship Managers to identify clients’ opportunities and provide Relationship Managers with market insights and trading ideas. Our Treasury Specialists offer appropriate solutions with consideration of clients’ risk profile and hedging or investment objectives across products such as Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Structure products.

We service more than 13 million individuals and small businesses, with a focus on the affluent segment which encompasses Private Banking, Priority Private, Priority Banking, and Premium. We’re investing USD $1.5 billion in our Affluent banking business. Our investment focuses on affluent frontline teams, wealth and digital platforms, and client centres, as well as brand and marketing, to drive growth. You’ll join a growing franchise within Standard Chartered Group.

 

Key Responsibilities

•    Responsible for meeting individual assigned targets and contribute to Capital Markets Products & Solutions budgets on Structured Notes, Fixed Income, FX and Equities related products.
•    Proactive engagement with RMs in marketing Capital Markets Products & Solutions products and enhance business turnover and profitability.
•    Strengthen retail clients’ customer base product penetration in the increasingly important Capital Markets Products & Solutions  product suite.
•    Provide timely market updates and accurate product information to clients and stakeholders.
•    Monitor market movements and provide regular and timely feedback to clients.
•    Offer appropriate solutions within clients’ risk profile and investment objectives.
•    Ensure prompt and accurate execution of clients’ orders through systems and/or market desks as may be applicable.
•    Facilitate book-building of treasury products.
•    Actively train RMs in CMCapital Markets Products & Solutions PS products and ensure systems are being effectively and efficiently utilised.
•    Keep abreast of competitors’ tactical mapping, pricing, product offerings and market intelligence.
•    Work on frontline and client campaigns and initiatives with segments and analytics to drive CMPS products and revenue.
•    Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies as applicable.
•    Project a high level of professionalism in all client engagements to uphold image of the Bank.

Qualifications

•    Relevant working and sales experience in treasury sales covering Priority Banking segment.
•    Strong aptitude for sales, leads management and deal closure.
•    Extensive knowledge of financial markets products such as but not limited to Structured Products, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Equities. 
•    Knowledge of operational, tax, regulatory issues.
•    Excellent communication, sales and presentation skills.
•    Self-motivator who is keen to upgrade, improve personal knowledge and skills to meet job requirements.
•    Ability to work independently.
