JOB SUMMARY
• Work with the Head of Enablement, Cash Management (COO) and the Cash MT (including DCS) to define, drive and execute the Cash Management strategic agenda, ensuring the business plan responds effectively to economic, political and regulatory change and delivers sustainable shareholder value and competitive advantage.
• Act as a senior execution partner to the Head of Enablement, Cash Management (COO) with accountability for translating Cash Management strategy into prioritised, executable initiatives across Cash, DCS, Risk and Technology. Support the end‑to‑end enablement agenda, including strategy execution, operating model design, governance, performance management, and investment discipline.
• Support the annual strategy, Corporate Plan and Investment Budget process for the Cash business (including DCS), in close partnership with the Cash CFO, ensuring alignment to Group priorities, risk appetite and financial targets.
• Drive delivery against agreed performance outcomes and scorecards (e.g. cost, productivity, service levels, risk, headcount).
• Operate as a trusted senior partner to the TB Management Team, Cash MT and TB COO MT, driving the strategic and operational agenda of the Cash franchise and leveraging transversal capabilities across Transaction Banking.
• Provide senior leadership across pan‑TB Cash strategic initiatives, working with product owners and functional leaders to ensure delivery ownership, strong domain expertise, and disciplined execution.
• Work in close partnership with Conduct & Control, Risk and Compliance to ensure full adherence to the Group conduct and control framework, with strong product and business risk management embedded across the Cash franchise.
As part of the Cash Enablement office;
• Collectively accountable at executive level for the delivery of the Cash Management strategy, performance outcomes and resource allocation across Group and Cluster teams.
• Own and strengthen Cash infrastructure frameworks (including AML, sanctions, non‑financial risk and product risk), ensuring robust governance, effective controls and regulatory compliance.
• Accountable for cost discipline and workforce optimisation, ensuring capacity and capabilities are aligned to strategic priorities and growth ambitions.
• Act as delegate and senior support to Group Cash Heads in the discharge of IBS responsibilities and representation at relevant risk and governance committees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Partner with Cash MT and the Head of Enablement to shape and execute the Cash strategic agenda, translating strategy into clear priorities, outcomes and delivery plans.
• Actively contribute as a senior participant at Cash MT, influencing Transaction Banking priorities and enterprise‑level decisions impacting the Cash franchise.
• Own the execution governance of strategic priorities, ensuring delivery discipline, clear accountability and alignment to Group strategy.
Business
• Support the strategic organisation design and operating model transformation across Cash, DCS, Risk and Technology.
• Support the embedding of the end to end Cash product lifecycle governance within the Cash product function.
• Lead or govern Cash strategic initiatives, including:
• Building and sponsoring technology investment cases
• Prioritising initiatives aligned to strategic and commercial outcomes
• Driving adoption of technology solutions to enhance scalability, efficiency and control
• Champion simplification, standardisation and controls enhancement as core design principles.
Processes
• Provide senior enablement leadership to support near‑ and long‑term revenue delivery for the Cash business.
• Drive progress towards best‑in‑class Cash Management capabilities, through investment prioritisation, delivery quality and execution certainty.
• Partner with Technology and Operations to improve global process efficiency, consistency and resilience.
• Ensure initiatives comply with Group change delivery, risk and control standards.
• Promote simplification, reuse and standardisation of capabilities across Cash where appropriate.

• Lead through influence and example, reinforcing accountability, collaboration and execution rigour.
• Enable effective cross‑functional working without direct line management authority.
• Support capability uplift through appropriate documentation, training and operational readiness.
Risk Management
• Ensure audit and compliance findings are addressed decisively and sustainably.
• Maintain strong understanding of Cash Management product risk and control frameworks
• Support strengthening of product lifecycle governance, including PLC disciplines.
• Ensure strategic initiatives identify and mitigate operational, regulatory, conduct and delivery risks within risk appetite.
Governance
• Support effective governance, transparency and escalation across Cash strategic initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory and industry developments and ensure implications are considered in execution.
• Prepare structured materials for senior forums, SteerCos and governance bodies as required.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, regulatory compliance and business conduct across Cash Management, and effectively identify, escalate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
• 6+ years professional experience in Transaction Banking / Cash Business management function at the global / regional level spanning product, COO, enablement or risk roles.
• Strong Cash product knowledge, industry insight and product risk expertise.
• Proven experience in strategic initiative execution and complex cross functional delivery.
• Commercial acumen is key with strong grasp of Cash P&L dynamics, cost management, margins and returns optimization.
• Stays current in knowledge with a focus on the future of technology
• Self-motivated leader with a growth mindset
• Advanced level communicator, with ability to influence and manage stakeholders from various seniority and backgrounds, preferably with international exposure
• Highly innovative and current in application of human centred design principles
• Leads on 'agile' as a way of working and proven experience transforming tech organisations to agile
