Job Summary
This senior equity derivatives sales role will be responsible for originating, structuring, and distributing equity derivatives solutions to institutional and Sponsor clients globally. The role focuses on delivering cross-asset, client-centric solutions aligned with the Bank’s strategic growth priorities, risk appetite, and regulatory framework.
Key Responsibilities
• To develop the Bank’s relationships with Clients through marketing and sales of Financial Market products generally and specifically to grow the business with Investors and Sponsor clients.
• Originate and execute equity derivatives and financing transactions including but not limited to margin loans, equity repos, TRS and other bespoke solutions.
• Advise clients on hedging, yield enhancement, and investment strategies using equity derivatives across single stocks and baskets.
• Work with clients in conjunction with Relationship Managers, and other colleagues in Sales, Origination, Research, Relationship Management, Structuring, Trading, Legal, Compliance and Risk, to develop a thorough understanding of each prospective client’s business needs.
• Work with Relationship Managers to originate new clients to market and sell Financial Market products.
• Emphasis on cross asset and cross boarder collaboration in order maximize client service.
• Grow SCB’s client income from non-bank FI clients and drive penetration of key target clients in equity financing and derivatives.
• Support any global client initiatives to increase SCB’s revenues with non-bank FIs on equity financing & derivatives (domestically and through the network).
• Work closely with all stakeholders to improve the firm’s coordination and penetration with key clients.
• Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
• Actively engage Structuring, Trading, Relationship and Risk Management teams to facilitate optimum client risk solutions.
• Liaising with clients and executing trades and orders in line with SCB’s policy and procedures consistent with all FM Sales staff globally including Order Handling, Record Keeping and Best Execution.
• Accountable for ensuring appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructures are in place to enable the business processes to be efficient, appropriate and compliant with internal policies, procedures, codes and applicable external laws and regulations.
• Taking responsibility for the global financial market’s relationship for key clients where appropriate. This will require liaison with Relationship Managers and SCB product specialists in other regions in which clients are active, to help build the global franchise with dedicated coverage accounts.
• Take ownership of all aspects of service delivery to the client within Financial Markets, including support functions such as operations.
• Assist in setting up adequate infrastructure to facilitate dealing.
• Drive/follow Financial Market themes and key initiatives and close alignment with the risk books
Qualifications
• University degree essential and post-graduate qualification in business management preferred.
• Candidate must have more than 10 years of experience in financial markets / investment banking
