Job Summary
Manage and delivery product objectives within the country for Securities Services across ASEAN countries in alignment with global objectives for the product line, including financial and non-financial performance, enhancement of capabilities, product and client access future strategies, and oversight of risk and governance in alignment with the Product Head for SS and regional Product Strategy.
Product Management and Development
• Directly responsible for articulating the product strategy and executing product initiatives on the annual operating plan in the country for the product in conjunction with the Country SS head and/or Regional Head of Product SS
• Directly responsible for understanding customer needs and develop the client value propositions that will address them across all client segments
• Sponsor launches of product enhancements, new products, as required for FSS . Work jointly with Sales and Marketing to develop collaterals for local market, communicate product launches, organize customer events and develop a sales campaign strategy to ensure that the new products meet planned volume and revenue targets
• Identify opportunities for the business and develop new product / programmes. Responsible for end-to-end ownership (from the Product perspective) for the following products offered by securities services:
• Custody services
• Fund services
• Trustee Services
Key Responsibilities
• Regularly evaluate alternate products/ processes that will ensure that our product offering is in line with or better than the market.
• Ensure an open and continuous dialogue with Global Product (CP) team and Global Product Manager (CPM) with regard to the product responsibilities.
• Identify new niche markets/ segments to achieve further volume/ revenue growth.
• Regularly benchmark our product with competition and work towards plugging major gaps.
• Embrace and practice the values of the bank on all occasions and demonstrate one bank behaviour
• Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations to embed Compliance Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process
• Ensure that the business meets all its obligations vis-à-vis the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards & under Local laws and Regulations. Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls which are regularly reviewed to ensure that they reflect any changes in product, systems, policy and regulations.
Commercialisation
• Responsible for commercialization of new product capabilities by ensuring commercialization plans, targets and infrastructure to maximize success for it launch
• Understand the needs of customers and prospects, and implement structures and solutions to meet these needs ensuring delivery of SS. Work closely with sales team to target new clients for Custody & Fund Services
• Provide ongoing support and training to sales, CIC, CC, GM, Risk and GTO staff to provide assistance to facilitate the closure of large or complex deals.
• Maintain high level client interaction. Approximately 20% of your time should be spent on client-related activities focused on strategic topics that help understand client needs and ensure an appropriate set of solutions delivered.
• Assist in the structuring/ customization of clients requirements as well as RFP responses where such response is relevant to the product set as well as our officering to new segments such as Alternative Investment Funds
Financial Performance and profitability
• Directly responsible for the SS product P&L within the country
• Have clear responsibility over pricing for products and management of assets, contingents, and for the allocation of AUM (SS).
• Work with the Country SS/ FM head in the management of the country ALCOs in alignment. Monitoring market changes and pricing strategies
• Directly responsible for driving investment business cases and the business operating model for the product line
• Develop jointly with the Sales team a local strategy to meet country objectives, in line with the overall Securities Services and Financial Markets strategy
• Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to capture the opportunities, mitigate the threats and deliver financial performance. Recommend and plan actions to build or reinforce our competitive edge
• Drive end to end product performance, improving efficiency through the e-agenda, straight through processing, ensuring scalability to grow
• Ensure all processes across Financing and Securities Services are followed in line with approved policies and procedures.
Market Advocacy
• The role requires active co-ordination with all internal stakeholders which includes Legal and compliance, Credit, Market, Operations, Sales, relationship, implementation and externally with Market Regulators and Infrastructures, associations such as AGC, ASIFMA
• Actively engaged with regulators/exchanges/depositories and market intermediaries to seek clarification, operating guidelines and FAQ

• Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
• Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives
Risk Management
• Identify and mitigate the Operational, Credit, Regulatory and Business conduct risks relating to SS products within the region.
• Ensure country compliance on Group standard for Audit, Control and financial reporting including reporting of risks to BORF/CORGs/ CEF
• Work closely with operations to improve overall service standards, platform and solution customizations and to ensure that quality of service to customers remains superior to competition
• Ensure timely renewal of country addendums (CAs) to PPGs and proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks. Actively participate in NPC roll out and execution in the region

Our Ideal Candidate
- 15+ years’ of experience in the Securities Business inclusive of 10 years of extensive experience in Securities Services Product Development/Management with strong expertise across Custody and Fund Services in a global market environment.
- Demonstrate strong experience records with a major Securities Services provider or Asset Manager.
- Strong background of people focused leadership with excellent engagement and retention results.
- A people manager with experience with managing diverse & multi-discipline teams and problem-solving.
- Deep international market knowledge & client buying behaviours.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop a product roadmap, in particular in the Investor space.
- Ability to drive and execute on a product agenda with other stakeholders (Legal & Compliance, Risk, Operations & Technology)
- Strong sales skills (lead by example) – demonstrable experience of technical sales, global coordination, RFIs / RFPs, client presentation meeting, and running workshops.
- Track record of delivering revenue growth.
- Recognised market profile, credibility with clients and industry forums.
- Highly organised and an exceptional communicator, able to work effectively in a matrix organisation
