Job Description: 

Job Summary

Strategy
•    To develop and execute a growth plan in line with the strategy/priorities of the Bank
•    Manage costs within budgeted levels.
•    Maintain focus on strong control, governance and conduct environment in CMPS India

Business
•    Manage the CMPS India team with a view to delivering the CMPS budgeted goals
•    Manage day to day operation of CMPS
•    Establish a high level of contacts with the stakeholders including the segments, L&C, Risk Functions and operations
•    Leverage on the country and group resource to expand CMPS capabilities in India
•    Work closely on the group and Regional stakeholders
•    Leverage SCILL and SCSI for Lending against securities, Fixed Income growth & Depository business
•    Manage cost within budgeted levels

People & Talent
•    Manage, Motivate, Mentor and develop the team.
•    Create talent pool within CMPS to support future business expansion and natural attrition
•    Meet the development and training needs for staff.
•    Ensure implementation of training and development need of team and continuously manage the performance expectation 

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management
•    Maintain focus on strong control, governance and conduct environment in CMPS India
•    Operational risk incidents / losses are kept to a minimum
•    Pro-actively escalate potential risks to achieving country and collective agenda

Governance
•    Awareness and complying with all policies and procedures issued from time to time
•    Attend all control meetings when required, especially where there are any issues with risk aggregation, client MTM, new product development.
•    Ensure that all products sold by CMPS have approved PPG/CAs and clear DOIs in place

Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
