Job Summary

We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Sales Director, Financing and Securities Services (FSS) to join our team in Frankfurt. This senior role, reporting directly to the Head of FSS Sales for Continental Europe, involves executing the strategic sales plan for Financing and Securities Services solutions across client segments.  We are seeking an experienced professional with strong industry connections, a track record for cross-selling, and for identifying new business opportunities with both existing and new to bank clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

 - Seeking and closing commercially viable new sales leads, cross-sell opportunities, and additional market mandates to meet set targets and scorecards.
- Identifying innovative solutions to Client needs and maximizing the use of existing capabilities.
- Building and managing a sales pipeline to support Client’s growth strategy against assigned targets, detailing opportunities, product gaps, and risk action items.
- Deepening the understanding of product requirements, future strategic goals, and buying behaviour across all FSS client segments within the AG.
- Monitoring competitor activities and market share within the region, highlighting threats and opportunities internally.
- Participating in account planning activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Client Coverage, Client Segment Heads, Global Head of Sales and Business Development, and Regional Heads of FSS.
- Mobilising an appropriate deal team and agreeing on priorities to secure the mandate.
- Working closely with FSS Sales and Client Service teams in footprint markets to ensure the best service levels for Continental European clients.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and compliance initiatives surrounding the FSS business.

Skills and Experience

  •  Over 8 years of experience in a sales role, selling to Banks, Broker Dealers, Asset Managers, and other Financial Institutions
  •  Deep understanding and knowledge of Financing and Securities Services products and the industry
  •  Fluency in German and English (additional European languages are a plus).
  •  Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy.
  •  Established market profile and credibility with clients.
  •  Strong relationship management and networking skills.
