Job Summary

We are building a new enterprise wide capability — the Governance Enablement Office (GEO) — to radically modernise how Standard Chartered governs itself.

The Reporting & Insights Specialist operationalises GEO’s insight engine — producing MI dashboards, scorecards, datasets and leadership narrative materials aligned to GEO’s Business Data Model.
The role executes recurring MT governance reporting, maintains definitional accuracy, automates refresh cycles and improves data quality.

This role ensures governance insights are timely, consistent, repeatable and embedded across Businesses, Functions, Clusters and Countries.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard & Scorecard Production
•    Build and maintain dashboards/scorecards aligned to GEO standards.
•    Execute monthly MT dashboards, quarterly insights packs and periodic thematic analyses.

Data Preparation & Business Data Model Execution
•    Apply GEO metric definitions, rules and calculations consistently.
•    Maintain datasets and transformation logic to ensure accuracy and reproducibility.

Automation & Quality
•    Automate refresh cycles; reduce manual effort; maintain stable data pipelines.
•    Monitor data quality and lineage; raise upstream issues promptly.

Insight Visualisation & Storytelling
•    Package insights into leadership ready narratives.
•    Produce visuals, charts and commentary that translate data into decisions.

Collaboration & Upstream Alignment
•    Work closely with the Governance Effectiveness team (structure/registry readiness) and Process Automation (telemetry inputs).
•    Ensure all MI uses correct taxonomy, lifecycle and standards.

User Enablement
•    Train governance practitioners on interpreting dashboards and applying insights.
•    Maintain data dictionaries, guides and usage notes.

Regulatory & Business Conduct 
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Success Measures (KPIs)
•    Accuracy, consistency and timeliness of dashboards.
•    Adoption of MI across domains.
•    Reduction in manual MI processes; stable refresh cycles.
•    Evidence of insights informing governance decisions.

Skills and Experience

•    6–10 years in dashboarding, MI, analytics or COO reporting.
•    Strong experience with metric definition, calculation logic and data quality.
•    Skilled in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
•    Strong storytelling and visualisation skills.
