Job Summary
- The role is accountable for ensuring that trade confirmations are issued, agreed, matched and resolved in a timely and controlled manner across Global Markets products.
- Reduce unsigned confirmations, resolve economic disputes, improve client follow-up, and ensure that confirmation breaks are clearly owned and closed. The role holder will set clear standards for quality, timeliness, escalation and accountability across the function.
- Define the global confirmations strategy, aligned to post-trade risk reduction, digitalisation, client experience and regulatory expectations.
- Build a globally consistent confirmations operating model with clear standards for issuance, affirmation, chasing, dispute resolution and escalation.
- Drive adoption of electronic confirmation platforms, workflow tools and data-led controls.
- Represent Confirmations in product launch, regulatory, client remediation and industry change forums.
- Define the global confirmations strategy, aligned to post-trade risk reduction, digitalisation, client experience and regulatory expectations.

- Standardise processes, templates, exception codes, escalation paths and management information across India and Malaysia.
- Reduce manual drafting, email-based workflows, aged unsigned confirmations and long-running disputes.
- Strengthen controls over economic terms, legal templates, authorised signatories and client communication.
- Lead digital confirmation initiatives, platform adoption, workflow automation and AI-enabled discrepancy detection.
- Partner with Technology and Legal to simplify templates, automate checks and reduce manual intervention.
- Use data analytics to identify dispute themes, root causes and front-to-back improvement opportunities.
Skills and Experience
- At least 15 years of experience in post trade activity (confirmation & settlements)
- Strong experience in Global Markets Operations, Post Trade Operations, Middle Office, Confirmations, Confirmations, Reconciliations, Client Data, Fees, Controls, Risk Management, Change or Transformation.
- Strong understanding of Global Markets products, trade lifecycle, post-trade processes, legal entity requirements and operational risk.
- Demonstrated track record in strengthening controls, improving service delivery, resolving complex issues and leading sustainable change.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders across Front Office, COO, Finance, Product Control, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit and country teams.
- Ability to operate in a high-volume, time-sensitive and risk-sensitive environment with strong judgement and clear escalation discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Proven senior leadership experience managing large or complex global functions with direct accountability for risk, people, performance and transformation.
Qualifications
• University degree preferred, ideally in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Operations, Technology, Data, Engineering or a related discipline.
