Job Summary
Define and drive global product strategy, innovation roadmap, and digital transformation for Mortgages across WRB Group.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Lead the development of the Mortgage strategy in line with the overall WRB strategy, working with Group, Country and Regional counterparts
• Work with markets to ensure execution of key strategic priorities and transformation programs
Business
• Oversee the financial performance management of the Mortgage business including setting and tracking KPIs; and review / challenge of budgets, forecasts, risks and opportunities.
• Maximize customer-level profitability by deepening relationship of our mortgage customer base and putting in place cross-sell and portfolio management actions.
• Lead the research, development and roll-out of new product constructs across key markets
• Establish roadmap and lead the digitization agenda of the mortgage business; including setting, management and tracking of key delivery outcomes
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing and margin management and work with the markets in executing the agreed actions.
• Manage key Group-level projects and put in place the required project management discipline to ensure timely, on-ground execution.

• Lead the process simplification agenda as part of, and foundation to, the digitisation roadmap
• Proactively identify process chokepoints and work with countries to simplify; continuously work towards achieving best-in-class client experience with measurable outcomes
People and Talent
• Maintain strong relationships with key Group, functional, regional and country stakeholders; and foster a conducive working culture
Risk Management
• Facilitate setting of Global risk appetite and metrics; articulate and propose global risk parameters
• Identify and execute agreed credit risk enablers in the mortgage portfolios across markets
Governance
• Own, develop and maintain all key product governance documents and guidelines, including managing on-going dispensations
• Lead implementation of or particulate in the roll-out of key global regulatory programmes and requirements
Regulatory and Business Conduct

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Lead the Group Mortgages team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
• A results-driven professional with 12+ years of experience in financial services and proven track record in similar leadership capacity.
• Ability to define and drive global product strategy, innovation roadmap, and digital transformation for Mortgages
• Sound knowledge of Wealth & Retail propositions and products
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
• A thought leader with a strong grasp of emerging technology trends
