Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    The AI Chapter Lead (Business Translator) at the WRB AI Chapter shall spearhead the ideation, design, development, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge generative AI technologies for our wealth and retail banking business. 

•       AI Chapter lead works across AI lifecycle through ideation, experimentation, design, development and operationalization of AI solutions. AI Chapter lead as Business translator/Data scientist/ Data Analyst operates in our cross-functional squads, you will work closely with Product Owners and technology teams in driving the outcomes of the squad to deliver on their objectives and key results. You will work closely with the Product Owners in creating data/business requirements to achieve business goals and develop the overall product roadmap. You should have knowledge and experience in Generative AI, Agentic AI and LLM Evaluation/Observability and have experience in driving digital transformation projects in Financial Services. 

•    We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic prompt engineer (business translator) to join our team and play a crucial role in unlocking the potential of our AI solutions. You will be responsible for designing, crafting, and optimizing AI solutions (Gen AI, Agentic AI) that guide our AI systems to generate accurate, informative, and creative outputs. This role demands a unique blend of creative writing skills, technical expertise, and analytical thinking to push the boundaries of AI-powered language generation. We are looking for talented individuals who have functional and operational expertise. You must be a strong communicator who builds trust-based relationships within the squad and amongst stakeholders. You will be expected to work across English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese large language models across the bank’s use cases for the various markets in the bank. 

•    The candidate should possess 5-10 years of experience in Financial Services (in areas such as Conversation Banking, Wealth Advisory, RM Co-pilot, Agent Assist and KYC). The candidate should have proficiency in Data & Analytics, Recommendation systems, which include Rule based, Decision trees, advance analytics, and machine learning, as well as strong understanding of data platforms and data interfaces

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Strategic Vision: Define and lead the strategic vision for generative AI initiatives within the AI Centre of Excellence, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Bank.
•    Roadmap Development: Develop a comprehensive roadmap for generative AI projects, prioritizing initiatives that drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
•    Trend Analysis: Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in AI and machine learning to guide strategic planning and maintain a competitive edge.
•    Advocacy: Advocate for the adoption of generative AI technologies across the organization, demonstrating their potential to enhance wealth management services and customer experiences.

Business
•    Opportunity Identification: Work closely with business units to identify opportunities where generative AI can add value, improve processes, and create new revenue streams.
•    Solution Translation: Translate business needs and challenges into AI-driven solutions, ensuring that generative AI initiatives are aligned with the bank's objectives and customer needs.
•    Business Case Development: Develop business cases for generative AI projects, including cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and potential ROI.
•    Stakeholder Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including portfolio managers, financial advisors, and IT teams, to ensure successful project execution and adoption.
•    Communication: Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting the impact and benefits of generative AI initiatives.

Processes
•    Objective Setting: Establish clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for generative AI projects, ensuring they are measurable, achievable, and aligned with the bank's strategic goals.
•    Standardization: Develop and implement standardized processes for the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of generative AI models.
•    Performance Evaluation: Formulate and implement evaluation processes to assess the performance, accuracy, and impact of generative AI solutions, ensuring continuous improvement.

•    Compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements in all generative AI initiatives.
•    Governance: Implement governance and evaluation frameworks to manage the ethical use of generative AI technologies, addressing potential biases and ensuring transparency.
•    Progress Monitoring: Monitor and report on the progress of generative AI projects against established OKRs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
•    Continuous Learning: Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the AI Centre of Excellence, encouraging team members to stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
•    Documentation: Oversee the documentation of processes, methodologies, and research findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the organization.

•    Is accountable for ensuring compliance and risk adherence of products and services, engage with stakeholders to ensure necessary controls are adhered to and approvals are obtained. 
•    Identifies all risks and issues that may impact project viability. Track, manage and report them as per the Bank’s standards. 

Governance
•    Adherence to policies and control standards, ensuring compliance and operation within risk tolerance and risk appetite 
•    Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Bank operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’ within the deliverables and possessing the ability to constructively challenge relevant stakeholders and teams effectively.
•    Ability and willingness to work through details with relevant control functions in an open and collaborative manner to achieve the desired governance outcome within the bank’s risk appetite. 
•    Work with global teams in Risk, Compliance and COO Office to ensure adherence to the Bank’s Risk framework, in the identification, assessment, mitigation, control and monitoring of risk.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field 
•    Experience with Generative AI technologies and Prompt engineering, Conversation banking, RAG pipeline and Agentic AI  
•    Experience in programming languages such as Python or R. 
•    Experience in client personalization, digital analytics and recommendation systems 
•    5+ years in Digital & technology implementations
•    Experience with dealing with emerging technologies, proofs of concepts, driving pilots, and product evaluations utilizing innovative client engagement technology.
•    Proven experience in Scrum or similar Agile development methodology.
•    Be a self-starter that thrives in the face of challenge, clearing obstacles with a resourceful and creative approach to problem-solving.
•    Understanding the Customer Experience design and user experience principle
•    Expertise in external vendor and product management.
•    Document processes, models, and workflows for future reference. 
•    Provide training and support to team members on AI tools and techniques.
