Title: AI Engineer

Job Summary
As a senior developer, you will play a critical role in the development and deployment of AI-empowered applications based on the Service Bench Platform and K8S. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize innovative solutions that leverage artificial intelligence to enhance business processes and user experiences. The candidate must be taking a balanced view on delivery of solutions between architecture, time, cost and quality and be able to communicate effectively to non-technical audiences and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable application using Java/python.
• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate systems.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Document processes and workflows for transparency.

• Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

• Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates.
Processes
• Responsible for the system architecture, development, build and deployment processes of the resilience solutions to be delivered.
People & Talent
• Hands on popular development experience in Java/Python
• Possess AI engineering capabilities, familiar with Prompt Engineering, Workflow orchestration, and Agent development.
• Experience in developing AI applications such as image, speech, and text recognition is preferred.
• Familiar with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and related technologies (such as Server Sent Events, etc.)
• Familiar with RAG, preferably with LLM or VLM
• Familiar with Redis, Memory Cache and MQ such like Rabbit MQ, Kafka.
• Experience with AI frameworks and tools (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Contribute to execute the technical strategy and roadmap for their area of product responsibility
• Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to achieve successful delivery of high-quality software products
• Work with business to translate roadmap features / requirements into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions and identify possible risks
• Owns quality of work ensuring it meets the quality standards of the Bank
• Strong English communication skills

• The ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.

Qualifications
• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• LANGUAGES: ENGLISH, CHINESE
Skills and Experience
• Experience with AI frameworks and tools (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Python/Java
• Experience in developing AI applications such as image, speech, and text recognition is preferred.
• LLM/RAG
• Knowledge in DevOps – CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), orchestration (Ansible/Salt)
• Knowledge of different aspects of service design: including messaging protocols and behaviour, caching strategies and software design practices
• Knowledge of infrastructure (networking, hypervisors, storage, security) - experience working with a private cloud is a plus
