Job Summary

We’re looking for a versatile and driven Business Intelligence & Analytics Specialist to
join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data,
tooling and business strategy, passionate about enabling data driven and decision-making across the organization. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a "Build the bank" role for an seasoned data architect who also has ample practical enterprise governance and regulatory governance implementation experience. 
- responsible for managing data governance, risk, and compliance activities for CDO and Architecture teams
- collaboratively develop policies and procedures for data governance implementation in the enterprise and be able to advice and guide project teams on adoption of the same
- identify internal and external data sources, collaborate with cross functional teams to determine their data storage and organizational needs and build referential documentation for the enterprise
- strategies, create and maintain data infrastructure, architecture and promote evolution of artefacts across architecture and project teams
- implement technological strategies for data risk mitigation in the bank as and when identified
- provide guidance on regulatory compliance, adoption and adherence of framework, policies and industry standards in the bank
- design and implement governance and document the evolution of the current data platform
- work with architecture team to strategies, design, build and document artefacts for a well governed data pipeline architecture, infrastructure and processes
- Define data platform direction, framework, architecture, standards, and guidelines
- Supervise data model and database design for operational and analytical systems
- Collaborate with business, technology, risk, compliance and other cross-functions to develop understanding of data requirements, challenges and pain points by representing data team in Architecture Review Boards
- Drive enterprise-wide data management planning, maturity assessment, define current state, future state and enterprise data goals
- Shape data strategy roadmap that leads to value realization for the banks business

Key Responsibilities

•    has practical knowledge of data governance implementation, risk management and compliance
•    - has been in constant touch with technology, specifically coding for data related projects and related cloud infrastructure development and onboarding
•    - has ample experience in designing processes around a technology development
•    - has guided technology teams and enabled them to see the value of processes and governance
•    - has aligned to data and architecture office objectives of an organisation to steer teams clear off a "cowboy style development" in projects
•    - experience in supporting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies
•    - has brought to life strategic builds for banks as an architect - specifically green field and grey field strategies from concept to production
•    - has ample experience looking at strategies from an organisation's architecture board's pov in implementing strategies
•    - has worked on implementing enterprise wide data related implementations in "build the bank" and / or "change the bank" initiatives
•    - has developed enterprise data operating model across people, process, technology and governance
•    - has experience mentoring, guiding and aligning junior team members towards an organisational objective while at the same time appreciating and promoting experimentation and innovative ideas
•    - has experience in architecting and / or implementing AI, ML and GenAI projects
