Job Summary

In this role you will be part of the Payments Programmes Delivery team, focusing on Hong Kong related projects within the department Technology and Operations (“T&O”). You will be primarily responsible for the successful delivery of projects and other initiatives pertaining to internal and external payments. You will need to work closely with teams across all businesses and functions in country for a successful pan-bank delivery of critical projects, while maintaining a close collaboration with T&O, business and functions teams across the bank. 

Main requirements for the role are a proven experience in technology project delivery, proven knowledge in the Payments business and especially on Payments side, excellent relationship management and presentation skills. The role is otherwise based in GBS Guangzhou location, and is eligible for flexibility in working location as per the terms agreed with the line manager. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects in Hong Kong, or other locations as need be, as assigned from within the backlog of initiatives pertaining to Payments and with primary focus being on Cash business, but with impacts to other business including of Retail Banking, Business Banking, Financial Markets, etc.. 

Business
•    Provide the executives of the bank with useful, accurate and timely views and analysis of the status for managed projects
•    Partner closely with regional and bank’s leadership and key stakeholders of each project 

Processes
•    Responsible for successful delivery of managed projects in time, on budget and with expected benefits
•    Create transparency for backlog item progress, blockers, impediments, dependencies, and Product value metrics
•    Enforce high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency in all managed projects
•    Setup and present at all project ceremonies, and prepare meeting materials of the right quality
•    Execute financial management processes and maintain transparent and high-quality financial forecast
•    Report on project status on request and in line with applicable Group processes

People & Talent
•    Maintain excellent working relationship with key contacts in T&O, Business, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and bank management at large, locally, and globally.
•    Sets appropriate tone and expectations for project team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.

Risk Management
•    Identify and highlight project risks, identify risk owner, and propose mitigation plans
•    Be familiar and abide with applicable Operational Risk processes for project approval and delivery

Governance
•    Responsible for implementing and maintaining project governance as defined by Group policy
•    Ensure all project artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required policies and standards

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience

•    Proven experience in the management of technology projects
•    Proven relationship management skills
•    Deep knowledge of banking industry, businesses and processes, with focus on Payments and Cash business
•    Familiar with project managements tools
•    Excellent presentation skills for preparation of quality material at attention of senior management
•    Recognized certification of Project Manager and/or Product Owner
•    Certifications: Project Management Or Product Owner Certification
•    Languages: English, Chinese
