Job Description: 

Job Summary

The Executive Director will lead engineering for Fund Administration and Transfer Agency platforms within Securities Services. The role will drive platform strategy, architecture, and execution to build scalable, resilient, and future-ready solutions supporting global investor servicing, operational efficiency, and emerging asset classes including tokenized assets.

Technology Strategy & Architecture
•    Define and execute multi-year technology strategy for Fund Administration and Transfer Agency platforms
•    Architect scalable, modular, API-driven platforms supporting high-volume investor servicing
•    Drive modernization towards event-driven, real-time architectures
•    Establish strong data architecture for investor records, NAV, transactions, and reporting

Platform Delivery & Execution
•    Own end-to-end delivery across fund accounting, transfer agency, and investor servicing
•    Lead large-scale transformation programs with clear execution discipline and outcomes
•    Ensure high availability, resilience, and regulatory compliance
•    Embed engineering best practices including DevSecOps, automation, and testing frameworks

Vendor & Platform Expertise
•    Lead architecture and integration across key industry platforms, including:
o    SS&C Technologies (Geneva, Advent)
o    FIS (InvestOne and related platforms)
o    Temenos (wealth/TA integrations where relevant)
o    Tata Consultancy Services BaNCS (custody/TA modules)
•    Drive the right balance between vendor platforms and in-house builds, minimizing heavy customization

Key Responsibilities

Operating Model Transformation
•    Partner with Operations to design optimized and scalable operating models
•    Leverage automation, data, and AI to reduce manual processing and improve turnaround times
•    Enable straight-through processing across investor lifecycle and fund servicing

Client & Business Alignment
•    Support onboarding of new client segments (institutional, HNI, alternatives)
•    Align technology roadmap to evolving investor needs and regulatory requirements
•    Partner with business to enable product innovation and growth in AUC

Digital Assets & Tokenization
•    Provide strategic direction on tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) and digital-native assets
•    Build readiness for:
o    Tokenized fund administration
o    Transfer agency for tokenized units
o    Integration with digital custody models
•    Enable hybrid platforms supporting traditional + digital assets

Leadership & Stakeholder Management
•    Lead and scale large engineering teams based in Bangalore, with global delivery responsibility
•    Engage with senior stakeholders across business, operations, risk, and compliance
•    Drive strong collaboration across custody, wealth, and markets businesses
•    Build a culture of ownership, execution excellence, and innovation

Risk Management
•    Proactive in seeking regular assurance that the CIB -FSS  are performing to an acceptable risk and control standard.
•    Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through the relevant committees.
•    As required, act as the risk control owner under the Group’s risk management framework at the appropriate level.
•    Balance business performance delivery and cost management constraints with risk and control matters to ensure that they do not materially threaten the Group’s ability to remain within risk appetite.
•    Engage with local regulators across Europe where required

Governance 
•    Attend FSS VAT and Tech Council as required, ensuring compliance with Architecture Principles and adherence to the Architecture Roadmap. 
•    Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct in the FM Technology Team to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture.
•    Ensure compliance with all salient SCB governance frameworks where there are direct touchpoints with them or any subsequent downstream influence from the FM Technology and In Country teams.
•    Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with local banking laws and anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines.

•    Lead the Transformation, FM Team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: FM Code of Conduct

•    Keep abreast of local regulatory standards and ensure teams are compliant.

Qualifications

•    15+ years of experience in financial services technology, with strong expertise in:
o    Fund Administration
o    Transfer Agency
o    Investor servicing platforms
•    Proven experience in architecture, platform modernization, and large-scale delivery
•    Strong understanding of investor lifecycle, NAV processes, and TA operations
•    Experience with leading vendor platforms such as:
o    SS&C Technologies
o    FIS
•    Strong exposure to data platforms, APIs, and event-driven architectures
•    Demonstrated ability to:
o    Scale global teams
o    Influence senior stakeholders
o    Drive complex transformation programs
•    Understanding of digital assets, tokenization, and future custody models is a strong advantage
