Job Summary

SABRE (Standard Chartered Analytics Booking and Risk Engine) is the bank’s strategic platform for Financial Markets Risk and Valuations. It is entirely developed in house. SABRE is also the central data repository for all Financial Markets transactions providing information for regulatory and non-regulatory trade reporting purposes.

This role sits with the FM Trade data services team which involves extending the SABRE Trade Lake which is a core component of the platform, to build a future-proof trade store solution meeting on-going regulatory projects requirements, as well as enabling the strategic aim of reducing point to point connections and reliance on fragmented legacy systems, and supporting advanced Analytics on FM Trade data.

In-flight work on the platform includes:
•    Extension of the current data model (FpML) to support new use cases 
•    Extension of the Trade Lake API supporting high performance querying on a Business data dictionary of trade attributes, enabling quick turnaround of business benefits through self-service data extraction capability
•    Support for direct Trade Booking and Life-Cycling within the SABRE Application
•    Formulate and transition the Trade Lake control framework into BAU 
•    On-going remediation of data accuracy and data completeness gaps
•    Supporting other project / reporting demands (MiFID2, SFTR, SEC, MAR, Securities Settlements, etc…)

JOB PURPOSE
o    Building strong, effective relationships with both the business and technology teams, across global offices.
o    Collaborating with trade platform teams, project teams and control functions to gather requirements, solve business problems by proposing relevant, innovative solutions
o    Working across Trade Processing platforms (ECommerce, SABRE, Murex 3.1, Murex 2.11, BTS (Bloomberg Trading System), Apex, Wealth Management platforms)
o    Working as part of an agile team including Business Analysts, Developers and Testers and being able to identify business implications of technical design decisions and influence them accordingly.
o    Deliver functional consistency across the various projects by influencing architecture and design decisions
o    Translating and documenting business requirements
o    Working across asset classes of FX, ALM, Rates, Credits and Commodities

 

Qualifications

  • Extensive product knowledge across asset classes encompassing product & trade life cycle (pricing and risk is good to have). (Regulatory like MIFID II, EMIR, CFTC exposure is a plus)
  • Experience working on vendor systems (eCommerce platforms, Murex, BTS, Apex, Sophis, S2BX, Wealth systems)
  • Ability to work proactively, independently and displays strong initiative
  • Pragmatic team player with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately translate and document business needs into functional requirements and produce quality documentation
  • Ability to drive multiple agenda and effectively manage priorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with an excellent standard of English (written and spoken)
  • Good understanding of the FO to BO trade flow of financial products, including Middle Office, Operations and Finance activities
  • Experience working in big data solutions and data querying tools. Experience in (ES) elastic search is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of key technology concepts, basics in SQL, NoSQL, functional programming and architecture. Strong technical acumen is a big plus.
  • Experience implementing trade STP havinultiple source platforms. FpML knowledge, ISDA CDM standards is a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in full end to end financial markets project delivery life cycle
