Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    As a Move Money API Product Owner, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling CIB financial institutional clients to manage their payments seamlessly through API for initiation, tracking, reporting and managing RFI throughout client life-cycle. You'll ensure our Move Money APIs suite meets rapid client growth demands, new market opportunities, new payment methods, and maintains compliance with evolving regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

•    This role offers exceptional exposure as a key contributor to our global Move Money API strategy, working at the intersection of Transaction Banking Payment Product, technology, compliance, and client needs. You'll collaborate closely with group and regional business stakeholders as well as technology partners to deliver API solutions that are fast, reliable, and future-ready. •    You will act as a key contact on Move Money API solution in the markets with product expertise, guiding client solutions based on market capabilities, judging what should be build in the right sequence, and continuously enhancing existing Move Money API suite. This role requires specialized product management experiences for client-facing API product which suits for Paytech and FI Bank client payments end-to-end journey, agile software delivery management skills, meticulous documentation capabilities for client-facing contents, and the ability to design and deliver high performance API in global scale and with local relevance across 35 markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Own CIB Move Money API roadmap and drive full alignments with Transaction Banking business, country stakeholders and technology groups.
•    Establish strategy that drives unified client experiences into CIB Payment API stack but not limited to existing capabilities, client journey and enabling cross-sell capabilities.
•    Stay current with evolving agentic commerce, emerging payment needs, regulatory frameworks (local clearing schemes, ISO 20022, data privacy laws, global payment transparency standards), and ensure API solutions remain compliant and competitive in the markets.
•    Evaluate the broader impact of regulatory changes on Move Money API capabilities and client experiences across multiple markets.
•    Analyze complex multi-market requirements for Corresponded Banking specific payment needs and identify commonalities that enable scalable API solutions and unified client experiences.

Business
Product Ownership & Delivery
•    Manage end-to-end product delivery cycles using agile methodologies, from discovery through to production deployment, and with rapid iterations.
•    Work with Transaction Banking business and product development team to prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, market demand, and strategic fit.
•    Partner with technology teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into robust, scalable Move Money APIs solution which are highly commercializable.
•    Create comprehensive end-to-end design and mapping specifications for Move Money API implementations across different markets.
•    Ensure timely and effective delivery of API enhancements that meet client demands while maintaining highest system performance, reliability and suitability.
•    Maintain organized requirement backlogs with clear traceability from business need to delivered solution, write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria that guide development and testing teams.
•    Coordinate with technology, GTM and regional stakeholders to ensure seamless product implementation, migration paths and client communications during system transitions.
•    Continuous delivering value through iterative releases and rapid feedback cycles to CIB clients.

Client & Commercialisation 
•    Be the subject matter expert regarding Move Money API capabilities, market nuances, address client query and solution offerings during commercialisations.
•    Support client-facing teams with technical expertise during client onboarding and integration processes.
•    Conduct workshops and training sessions for internal stakeholders on Move Money API features, client solutions and use cases.
•    Develop and maintain professional client-facing documentation including API reference guides, integration manuals, webhook specifications, test case examples, and exception handling.
•    Ensure all documentation meets global standards while addressing market-specific nuances and end-to-end capabilities.
•    Maintain up-to-date API specifications using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.

Performance Metrices & Continuous Improvement
•    Monitor and analyze API performance metrics across markets including uptime, latency, error rates, success rates, and adoption trends to identify opportunities for API optimization.
•    Track delivery timelines, sprint velocity, and release quality to ensure consistent and efficient execution.
•    Identify patterns in client usage, reconciliation issues, and system performance data to drive proactive improvements.
•    Contribute to PTR/UVT, post-implementation reviews, client feedback to enhance future delivery, and ensure the quality of service to clients remains superior to competition.

Processes
•    Co-lead agile ceremonies with tech squad lead including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives for product roadmap delivery.
•    Maintain clear visibility into development progress, risks, and dependencies, drive blocker resolution with clear action plans and follow-through the closure.

People & Talent
•    Collaborate cross-functional team to validate and detail requirement, prioritize the feature, and delivery high-impact enhancements.
•    Champion innovation, excellence, efficiency and reusability into the platform development organisation, reduce the cost of repetitive market level customisation into the product. 

Risk Management
•    Ensure product changes follows SDLC controls, architectural guardrails, Change Risk Assessment 
•    Proactive monitor the risk associated with API payment flows throughout the product life-cycle, engage risk committee with well documented risk assessment, mitigation plans and timelines.

Governance
•    Ensure data quality, accuracy, lineage, and entitlements build for the product.
•    Ensure product compliance on Group standard for Audit, Compliance and local regulatory schemes.
•    Maintain the product program as per product governance guideline.

Skills and Experience

•    Expert in Transaction Banking Payments and FI Clearing Product for institutional clients
•    Strong product knowledge of Non-Bank Payment Service Payment’s payment flows in B2B and B2B2C business models
•    Familiarity with payment standards such as ISO 20022 payment and reporting messages (e.g. pacs.008, pacs.009, CAMT.056, CAMT.029, GPI tracker, MT199, etc.) specifically in Corresponded Banking use cases
•    Proven track record of successfully delivering software products or features in an agile environment
•    7-10 years of experience in product management, digital product delivery, or business analysis within financial services or fintech
•    Knowledge of API technologies, RESTful architectures, webhook implementations, developer portals, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture
•    Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman)
•    Comfortable reading and understanding technical architecture documents and system integration designs
•    Experience working across multiple markets or jurisdictions, understanding how to balance global standards with local requirements
•    Understanding of e-commerce payment gateways, marketplace settlement models, and digital wallet integrations
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
•    Strong stakeholder management capabilities, able to build relationships across product, technology, compliance, and regional teams
•    Ability to work effectively in a matrixed global organization across different time zones and cultures
•    Proficient in agile product management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with hands-on experience in AI tools and DevOps platform (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence)
•    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
•    Strong documentation skills with ability to create technical specifications, user stories, process flows, webhook schemas, and client-facing materials
•    Problem solver who can analyze complex situations and develop pragmatic solutions
