Job Summary
We hiring a senior AI Engineer or engineer lead who will play a critical role in the design, development, and deployment of Intelligent Document Processing platform and respective AI services. You will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, focusing on using traditional OCR and non-traditional OCR(VLM) and other technologies to process massive documents by integrating various data sources in the bank. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our AI solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Platform Development
Lead the design and development of the Intelligent Document Processing platform and related AI services, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of the banking industry.
Collaborate with cross - functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts, to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Technology Application
Utilize traditional OCR and non-traditional OCR (VLM) technologies to extract valuable information from massive documents in the bank.
Integrate multiple data sources in the bank, such as transaction records, customer information, and regulatory documents, to support the document processing and AI services.
Solution Optimization
Continuously optimize the AI solutions to enhance scalability, ensuring that the system can handle increasing volumes of documents and data as the business grows.
Ensure the reliability of the AI solutions by implementing robust error - handling mechanisms and conducting regular system testing.
Improve the efficiency of the document processing and AI services by fine - tuning algorithms, reducing processing time, and minimizing resource consumption.
Team Collaboration
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Participate in team meetings and discussions, sharing knowledge and best practices in the field of AI and document processing.

Skills and Experience
• Experience: 8-15 years of experience in AI, machine learning engineering and software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex AI projects.
• Knowledge of OCR and document automation tools including: olmOCR, MinerU, opensource VLMs like Qwen VL, Llama Vision, Tesseract, etc.
• Background in AI-powered document automation, including: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), LLM training and tuning, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elastic Search, Strong grasp of intelligent document capture workflows and document classification/extraction.
• Proved experiences in driving big project in a complex environment by dealing with different stakeholders.
• Knowledge in Data/Model Management (Unity Catalog, MLFlow) and cloud platforms and infrastructure as code (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a big plus.
• Hands-on experience with GPU computing and optimization for AI workloads is an advantage.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, knowledge in Java/C++ is a plus.
• Software Engineering: Strong skills in software engineering, familiar with CICD pipeline and DevOps process.
• Understanding of distributed system, knows well in containerized environment(Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, etc)
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
