Job Summary

Processes
•    Ensure the team always follows operational best practices. Ensure the highest levels of ownership, accountability and service are maintained within the team.
•    Review, uphold and enforce all Bank technical, security, quality, and engineering standards on supported assets.
•    Ensure compliance with Bank ITSM processes such as Incident, Change and Problem Management.
•    Identify and implement service improvements that will include, but not be limited to, improving service level delivery; remediating process gaps; using automation to reduce turnaround times; improving the customer experience; reducing cost; improving risk exposure; and optimising the monitoring infrastructure.
•    Perform periodic capacity and performance reporting of the NAS storage infrastructure, and present key findings and recommendations.

Risk Management
•    Proactively identify risks and issues or react to them in a timely manner to minimise any potential impact. Create and implement remediate plans to resolve any non-compliance.
•    Support auditory, regulatory and risk and compliance initiatives that contain deliverables related to the storage and backup service.

Key Responsibilities

•    A talented and passionate senior individual to join Standard Chartered as a Sr Storage Developer/automation engineer, with a primary focus on the technologies in the Block and Object services (PURE Storage, Hitachi, Cisco, Broadcom, DELL PowerMax and Hitachi HCP). 
•    In this role, you will play a key role in the overall journey to treating infrastructure as code in the block and object storage domains, under the umbrella of Private Cloud Infra.  This entails developing, automating, and working with stakeholders on requirements to improve the overall customer experience and streamlining processes to minimise minimal human engagement. 
•    This role will play a critical part in helping shape and guide the future growth and development for Private Cloud Infrastructure and will be responsible for the creation and transformation of the capabilities that will define how we organise to deliver on the strategy. 
•    This includes leading the delivery of platform and storage capabilities crucial to our strategy and improved recovery capabilities. In addition, you will be instrumental in driving the engineering excellence culture and promoting engineering practices for the organization. 
•    This includes defining the proper practices for code reviews, testing, software and pipeline design, and ensuring proper security and reliability practices are enforced.

Skills and Experience

•    Hands on Scripting / Programming – BASH, KSH, PowerShell, Core Python, Ansible Playbooks
•    Strong experience on building and maintenance CI/CD Pipelines & DevOps Practices
•    Solid knowledge of Storage technologies
