Job Summary

 We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic new team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, with expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs – intraday Risk platform build-out.

Key Responsibilities

•    Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java applications for our intraday risk platform
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features
•    Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and design patterns
•    Develop and integrate APIs and microservices/services
•    Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks
•    Implement robust data processing and analytics capabilities for risk assessment
•    Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers
•    Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
•    Ensure application security and compliance with banking industry standards
•    Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
•    Support users and contribute to platform uat and prod green state

Gen AI Readiness
•    Demonstrated ability to leverage generative AI tools for accelerated development
•    Understanding of prompt engineering for effective AI tool utilization
•    Experience integrating AI capabilities into development workflows
•    Ability to evaluate and optimize AI-generated code
•    Openness to adopting emerging AI technologies in the development process
•    Knowledge of best practices for AI-augmented software development

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
•    MS or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in full stack development with a focus on Java in a mission critical markets context
•    Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
•    Knowledge of build tools such as Maven or Gradle
•    Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
•    Nice-to-have experience in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•    Strong communication and teamwork abilities
•    Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools for faster, better solutions in day-to-day work

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
•    Experience with microservices/Event-Driven architectures
•    Experience with high-performance Risk technologies
•    Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
•    Used to Agile/Scrum methodologies
•    Experience with AI-powered development tools and platforms
•    Ability to effectively utilize generative AI for code optimization and problem-solving
