Job Summary

We are looking for a Full-stack Specialist, responsible for the development and maintenance of in-house applications. You will be working alongside and managing other Engineers and Developers working on different layers of the Applications.  Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.]

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Minimum experience of 8 years in IT industry with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
•    Proficient in RESTful API, SOAP, Java, SpringBoot 3.x, SpringBatch, jUnit.
•    Document APIs using Swagger.
•    Should have knowledge on Relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and/or No-SQL Databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.
•    Preferred to have knowledge on API Gateways, API security, SSL, mTLS, OAuth 2, OIDC, Encryption and Singing etc.
•    Develop and maintain messaging services using JMS and Solace.
•    Should be independently able to manage CICD tasks using Git, Azure DevOps (ADO), Maven, Ansible, and Helm Charts 
•    Experienced in Container Infrastructure such as Docker, Linux, Kubernetes, OCP or AWS EKS or Azure AKS. Implement microservices architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability.
•    Participate design, dev, testing, implementation process.
•    Experience in developing and deploying cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure or other cloud provider. Understand IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
•    Have a high enthusiasm for programming and new technology learning, have a strong learning ability.
•    Perform code reviews to guarantee quality and promote a culture of technical excellence in Java development.
•    Experienced working in an Agile (CI/CD, TDD/BDD, SCRUM, KanBan) environment with globally distributed teams.
•    Collaborate with product managers and other tech leads to ensure applications meet functional requirements and strategic objectives.
•    Lead and partake in system changes, ensuring project delivery is efficient and meets quality standards, directly involving oneself in coding and problem-solving.
•    Be able to utilize modern IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, VSCode) and AI development tools (Copilot, Composer). 
•    Collaborate with UX/UI designers, front-end developers, and back-end engineers to deliver cohesive and integrated software solutions.
•    Fluent English speaking/listening/reading/writing. Mandarin or Cantonese language ability will be an advantage.
•    Bachelor’s degree or above.

•    Integrate Thought Leadership to upskill the team in areas like quality assurance, enhancing user experience, and effective use of automation and APIs.

Business
•    Preferred experience in the FinTech domain.
•    Experienced practitioner and hands on contribution to the squad delivery for their craft (Eg. Engineering).
•    Responsible for balancing skills and capabilities across teams (squads) in partnership with the Product Owner & Hive Leadership, and in alignment with the fixed capacity model.
•    Responsible to evolve the craft towards improving automation, simplification and innovative use of latest market trends.
•    Trusted advisor to the business. Work hand in hand with the Business, taking product programs from investment decisions, into design, specification, and solution phases, all the way to operations on the ground and securing support services from other teams.
•    Provide leadership and technical expertise for the subdomain to achieve goals and outcomes.
•    Support respective businesses in the commercialisation of capabilities, bid teams, monitoring of usage, improving client experience, and collecting defects for future improvements.
•    Manage business partner expectations. Ensure delivery to business meeting time, cost and with high quality.
