Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive change initiatives for our hybrid Structured Products Order Management System (OMS), comprising both vendor and in‑house solutions. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Owner, dealing desk, product team, operations, and technology partners to enhance front‑to‑back workflows, support new product launches, facilitate integrated system migration/platform consolidation, and optimise end‑to‑end processes across the structured products landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Product Owner to gather, analyse, and prioritise requirements for enhancements, new initiatives, and integrated system migrations on the vendor and in‑house Structured Products OMS.
- Act as a key liaison between business and technology, ensuring clear communication, shared understanding of requirements, and timely issue resolution.
- Translate business needs into well‑defined user stories, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Work with the dealing desk, product team, and operations to document and refine front‑to‑back trade flows (from product creation and pricing through order capture to post‑trade processes).
- Analyse current processes and system configurations in the Structured Products OMS; identify gaps, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities in workflows and controls.
- Collaborate with internal technology and external vendor teams on solution design, configuration, customisation, and integration with upstream and downstream systems.
- Prepare and maintain core Business Analysis artefacts, including BRDs, FRDs, process maps, data dictionaries, and interface specifications.
- Plan and execute testing activities (SIT/UAT), including test scenario and case design, test execution, and defect tracking and resolution.
- Support production rollout, data/system migration activities, creation of user training materials, and post–go‑live stabilisation.
- Ensure all designs, documentation, and changes comply with internal policies as well as risk and control requirements.
- Share subject matter expertise and provide guidance and support to other Business Analysts and project team members as needed.

Skills and Experience
- Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyse and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
- Scrum: Knowledge of the principles, components and features of scrum methodology; ability to apply this methodology to manage software product development processes.
- Software Change Request Management: Knowledge of, and experience with, managing product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
- Agile Project Management: Knowledge of effective agile project management strategies and tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications
- 10yrs+ working experience in IT/ FinTech/ Financial/ Banking industry.
- 3-5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within capital markets, investment banking, or wealth management.
- Strong understanding of structured products (e.g. equity/FX/rates/credit-linked notes, options, exotics) and their end-to-end lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with both vendor and in-house (or similar) structured products platforms/Order Management Systems (OMS) is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering front-to-back change across trade capture, pricing, booking, lifecycle events, operations, and reporting.
- Proven ability to produce clear, well-structured business requirements, process models, and functional specifications.
- Experience in system integration and migration projects, with good knowledge of interfaces and messaging protocols (e.g. APIs, MQ, file-based).
- Practical experience in managing SIT/UAT, including test planning, execution, and defect management using standard test/defect tracking tools.
- Certifications: Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery environments is an advantage; relevant certifications (e.g. CBAP, Agile BA, CFA/FRM fundamentals) are a plus.
