Job Summary

Lead the global Prime, Clearing & Collateral Services technology organisation responsible for enabling Clearing Services capabilities across OTC and ETD markets, supporting CCP onboarding and expansion initiatives, and delivering Margin Management platforms that underpin clearing and collateral activities across Financial Markets.
•    Own the strategy, architecture and delivery roadmap for Prime Brokerage, Clearing and Collateral technology services, including CCP connectivity, clearing workflows, margin processing, collateral management and post-trade risk mitigation capabilities supporting global Markets businesses..
•    Drive platform modernisation, application simplification, AI-enabled engineering, automation and observability to improve resiliency, time-to-market, control effectiveness and cost discipline.
•    Provide senior engineering leadership across a global team, ensuring architecture, security, data, risk and operational design choices translate into measurable business and client outcomes.
•    Act as the senior technology partner for Product, Markets COO, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Architecture and Markets Technology leadership on Prime, Clearing and Collateral strategy and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The role is accountable for strategic direction, delivery outcomes, technology risk management, stakeholder alignment and talent development across the Prime, Clearing & Collateral Services technology organisation.
•    Platform ownership and business outcomes: Lead technology delivery supporting new CCP onboarding, clearing expansion opportunities and regulatory market infrastructure changes, ensuring scalable and resilient integration with global clearing ecosystems. Partner with Prime Brokerage, Clearing Services, Operations, Markets COO and Product Owners teams to support business growth through expansion of clearing capabilities, onboarding of new CCPs, optimisation of margin utilisation and enhancement of collateral servicing capabilities.
•    Architecture and modernisation: Simplify legacy application estates and lead modernisation across PaCman, ION XTP and related integration, margin/collateral and clearing workflows, while managing obsolescence and technical debt.
•    AI engineering and automation: Embed AI engineering, intelligent automation and predictive analytics across clearing operations and collateral workflows to improve operational efficiency, control effectiveness and client service outcomes.
•    Controls, risk and regulatory readiness: Strengthen preventive and detective controls, data lineage, entitlement governance, audit readiness, cybersecurity remediation, exchange or CCP driven changes and regulatory obligations across the portfolio.
•    Strategy and transformation: Define and execute the multi-year technology strategy for Prime, Clearing & Collateral Services, aligned to Markets Technology, Post Trade Services, business growth, regulatory priorities and enterprise architecture standards.
•    Financial and portfolio governance: Partner with Finance, Portfolio, Product Owners and Technology leadership to prioritise investment, manage run and change spend, support budget submissions, and provide transparent executive reporting.
•    Stakeholder engagement: Engage senior stakeholders across Markets Trading, Prime Product, Markets COO, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Architecture, Cyber Security, Finance and Enterprise Technology to align priorities and resolve complex trade-offs.
•    Global people leadership: Lead a global team across key delivery locations, create clear accountabilities, coach senior leads, strengthen succession, and build a culture of engineering excellence, teamwork, inclusion and pro-business delivery.

Qualifications

Key Experiences    
•    15+ years of Financial Markets technology experience with significant leadership responsibility across Prime Brokerage, Clearing Services and Collateral Management. Demonstrated experience delivering CCP onboarding programmes, clearing connectivity solutions, margin transformation initiatives and large-scale post-trade technology modernisation.
•    Demonstrable experience in AI Engineering, including production-grade implementation or delivery of AI-enabled engineering outcomes.
•    Strong technical background with credibility to challenge architecture decisions, engage engineering teams deeply and translate technical choices into business outcomes.
•    Minimum 15 years of relevant business domain experience in Financial Markets technology, ideally including Prime Services, Clearing, Collateral, or broader post-trade environments.
•    Proven ability to lead global teams, cultivate engineering excellence, collaborate across functions and deliver pro-business outcomes in a controlled environment.
Certifications / Qualifications     
•    Graduate degree required. Relevant certifications in Cloud, Cyber Security, Data, AI/ML or agile delivery are advantageous.
Languages    
•    English required. Additional regional language capability is beneficial for global team and stakeholder engagement.
