Job Description: 

Job Summary

The Head of Business Chapter – provides strategic leadership for International Banking and Private Banking, defining and stewarding end-to-end digital customer value for International and Private Banking segments. This role acts as the strategic bridge between Segments, Product teams with Digital Domains, translating segment strategy and commercial priorities into clear customer intents, value propositions, journey definitions and value outcomes. The Chapter Head works with Digital Domains to ensure clarity of value outcome definitions, prioritisation and to deliver scalable, market relevance experiences. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Customer value definition: Define end-to-end customer value propositions, priority journeys and business outcomes for the segment. Translate business strategy into well-structured problem definitions and value statements. Establish success measures before demand enters delivery.
•    Roadmap development: Shape the Digital International Banking & Private Banking roadmap in collaboration with segments and product teams and digital leads.

Business
•    Executive leadership & influence: Act as the senior thought leader across WRB, advising senior stakeholders and shaping digital international and private banking business priorities.
•    Business segment and product partnership: Act as primary interface between segment and product teams and digital domain leads. Manage senior stakeholder alignment forums and ensure digital international and private banking business priorities align with segment and product priorities and business outcomes. 
•    Change Delivery & Domain partnership: Consolidate and rationalize business input into clear, prioritized delivery demand in partnership with Change Delivery team for the Digital Domains to execute on. Resolve ambiguity and competing priorities upstream of delivery.

Processes
   Objective Setting: Develop chapter OKRs and performance metrics.
   Engagement Model: Define Chapter operating model, establish and lead an operating rhythm which facilitates strong and effective collaboration across product, segment, markets, domains and functional partners to deliver the digital agenda.
•    Delivery alignment and value tracking: Partner with Change Delivery, Domain & Hive leads to align on value metrics and definition, scope boundaries, and success measures. Act as escalation point when delivery constraints require reprioritization or demand reshaping. Establish feedback loops with segment and product teams post-delivery, ensure learning informs future prioritization.

People and Talent
•    Lead and nurture a community of POs affiliated with the Digital International Banking & Private Banking agenda.
•    Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from Domains and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
•    Collaborate with HR Transformation Leads to ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of product owners affiliated with the Digital International Banking & Private Banking agenda.
Risk Management
•    Possesses awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them.
•    Accountable for ensuring compliance and risk adherence of products and services, engage with stakeholders to ensure necessary controls are adhered to and approvals are obtained. 
•    Identifies all risks and issues that may impact project viability. Track, manage and report them as per the Bank’s standards. 

Governance
•    Adherence to policies and control standards, ensuring compliance and operation within risk tolerance and risk appetite.
•    Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Bank operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’ within the deliverables and possessing the ability to constructively challenge relevant stakeholders and teams effectively.
•    Ability and willingness to work through details with relevant control functions in an open and collaborative manner to achieve the desired governance outcome within the bank’s risk appetite. 
•    Work with global teams in Risk, Compliance and COO Office to ensure adherence to the Bank’s Risk framework, in the identification, assessment, mitigation, control and monitoring of risk. 
•    Implement robust model governance and monitoring frameworks.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    15+ years of experience driving digital transformation in wealth management, international banking and private banking.
•    Strong leadership experience operating at the intersection of business strategy and digital execution 
•    Proven ability to translate complex business needs into structured, prioritized digital demand
•    Experience working across business and tech stakeholders, multiple markets and regulated environments
•    Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in a matrix organization with a high degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight.
•    Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive executive alignment.
•    Strong collaboration, consensus building, problem resolution and communication skills are prerequisites.
•    Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset.
•    Exceptional clarity of thoughts and problem structuring
•    Strong stakeholder management and decision facilitation skills
•    Comfortable saying “no” and managing trade-offs
