Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Head of Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) to lead FCC oversight for our Iraq Branch. The role will be responsible for managing financial crime risks across AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and Fraud, while ensuring strong governance, regulatory alignment, and effective implementation of Group FCC policies and standards.
The successful candidate will provide advisory support to senior stakeholders, oversee risk assessments, investigations, remediation actions and regulatory reporting.
This role requires strong knowledge of FCC frameworks, regulatory expectations, client screening, transaction monitoring, CDD, and case management
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee FCC for Iraq, ensuring appropriate controls, governance, policies, processes, and regulatory alignment are in place.
- Provide FCC advisory support across AML, Sanctions, ABC and Fraud, including interpretation of regulatory requirements and escalation of key issues where needed.
- Manage financial crime risk through risk assessments, surveillance, investigations oversight, case quality, remediation tracking, and reporting to senior management/regulators.
- Act as Lead for Iraq, overseeing implementation of Group Policy, training, risk assessment, MI review, audit findings and treatment plans.
- Support regulatory engagement, governance forums, FCC reporting, control improvements, and change/project initiatives related to FCC objectives.

- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate, make sound decisions, manage ambiguity, give clarity, and operate with a strategic mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Professional FCC certification such as ICA, CAMS or CFCS.
- Bilingual Arabic and English capability.
- Strong knowledge of FCC risk .
- 30 years old and above (CB requirement)
- 75 hours of training completed.
