Job Summary
This role will be responsible for leading and managing the Islamic Banking business across the country, developing and executing the overall business strategy to achieve sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership while ensuring full compliance with Shariah principles and applicable regulatory requirements. The incumbent will drive revenue generation, expand the customer base, and strengthen the Islamic Banking franchise through innovative product development, strategic partnerships, and enhanced service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Islamic Banking revenue performance in close partnership with business leadership, ensuring sustainable growth and achievement of strategic financial objectives.
- Engage closely with Governance, Compliance, and Risk functions to strengthen oversight, enhance controls, and ensure alignment with regulatory and Shariah requirements.
- Champion the growth and strategic direction of Islamic Banking by partnering closely with Corporate and Investment Banking and Wealth & Retail Banking Business Heads to deliver sustainable business expansion, market leadership, and financial performance.
- Drive the integration of the “One Bank” philosophy across all Islamic Banking initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with the broader business strategy
- Champion the growth and evolution of the Islamic Banking franchise by delivering innovative Shariah-compliant solutions, elevating customer experiences, and setting new standards of service excellence.
- Collaborate with Corporate and Investment Banking and Wealth & Retail Banking Business Heads to design and execute impactful business development and market expansion strategies that strengthen the Bank’s competitive position.
- Embed the “One Bank” philosophy across all Islamic Banking initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of products, services, and client solutions throughout the organization.
- Partner with Group Islamic Banking teams to successfully launch new products and propositions, delivering timely market execution and maximizing business impact.
- Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks associated with Islamic Banking products, safeguarding the Bank’s interests while supporting responsible growth.
- Provide insightful performance reporting and strategic updates to the CEO, CEO Group Islamic Banking, and Executive Committee, enabling informed decision-making and business direction.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with internal policies, regulatory directives, and governance standards set by the Central Bank, Board of Directors, Global Shariah Board, and Group Islamic Banking, while promoting the highest standards of integrity and ethical banking.
