Job Description: 

Job Summary
The Head of Sales Engagement is responsible for developing, implementing, and communicating the employee value proposition for frontline Affluent Banking job families within WRB. The delivery of the employee value proposition is delivered via (a) training programs, (b) frontline career pathway development programs, (c) execution of frontline coaching & mentoring programs, & (d) communications designed to inform / engage frontline teams. This role will ensure that all frontline FTE are appropriately trained, developed & engaged in the delivery of WRB’s growth targets. The priority job families for this position include Relationship Managers & Sales Leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding, Training & Career Pathways:

  • Work with HR & TA partners to ensure we have clear success profiles, job descriptions, recruitment pitch books & external communications for impactful frontline recruitment.
  • Collaborate and align markets on the development and execution of FastTrack sales readiness induction programs to ensure NTB frontline FTE have a clear path to success in their first 90 days. This includes WRB specific induction plus guidelines on portfolio assignment, client handover, service support, coaching, mentoring & buddy requirements.
  • Articulate & execute career pathway programs to ensure frontline FTE have clear & achievable pathways including promotion guidelines / targets, supporting training & quarterly review mechanism.

 

Sales Leadership Development:

  • Bring together all frontline sales training programs under a single “WRB Sales Academy” to ensure ongoing & structured frontline sales training from new joiner to experienced Sales Leader. Liaise with respective product teams to ensure alignment of programs & content.
  • Collaborate with People Capability & external providers to build fit for purpose employee development programs & ongoing learning opportunities that are directly linked to career pathways.

  • Liaise with local industry training organisations for appropriate input & funding for internal accreditation programs, eg; Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore
  • Build global sales coaching playbook to clearly articulate tools & expectations regarding coaching frontline teams. This is to be supported by appropriate training, communications & tracking to ensure impactful execution.

 

Employee Engagement:

  • Develop regular communications designed to inform & engage the frontline in the various elements of the SC employee value proposition.
  • Create, get approval for & share appropriate materials for frontline FTE to share on their LinkedIn profiles. This is to ensure connections at competitor banks are cognisant of SC’s employee value proposition elements.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a senior employee development role, preferably in a global or multi-national financial services organization.
  • Strong understanding of program management designed to drive business objectives & outcomes.
  • Understanding of sales processes, methodologies & best practices an advantage.
  • Awareness of government / industry training agencies & external providers of development programs
  • Excellent leadership, communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate difficult concepts in a concise & simple manner.
  • Ability to think strategically & execute tactically, including the delivery of multi-market projects.
  • Excellent understanding & demonstrated experience driving engagement & communications at scale & across multiple languages.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams & stakeholders.
  • Experience operating within structured governance & risk environments.
