Job Summary
The appointed Client Coverage Banker will work in the Ho Chi Minh office as a full-time professional responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with key financial institutions. This role is non-managerial but requires collaboration with various internal teams and stakeholders to optimise client engagement and business outcomes. Being based in Vietnam presents an exciting opportunity to significantly influence the performance and growth within this dynamic market.
Key responsiblities:
To manage Banks, Brokerage and other BBD clients in all aspects, including formulating business plans and strategies for Vietnam in line with Group business strategy and overall Bank, Brokerage and BBD business to achieve or exceed revenue target.
To manage credit risk to a desired level through fostering a strong sales and credit culture within team wand with other businesses or functions.
To deliver personal origination, locally and regionally booked revenues budget for each year.
To establish new relationships – identify and qualify new business opportunities for existing clients and also new business referred by GAM within SCB Group.
To identify and satisfy clients’ needs by coordinating with product partners and other internal sources to deliver solutions to clients.
Lead the development and implementation of the client strategy (working with the coverage team including product partners) for the designated portfolio as identified through the Account Planning process.
Accountable for delivering financial performance objectives (revenues, costs, RoRWA, etc)
Accountable for all other objectives for the management and development of client relationships, specifically compliance (AML, CDD) and credit risk.
Key stakeholders*
- Engage with product partners within the region and globally to ensure breadth and depth of client coverage and deepening.
- Work with other teams in Global Banking to ensure Global Banking’s strategic priorities are met
- Consult with stakeholders in Risk and Legal & Compliance to ensure that the portfolio remains credit worthy and within the policies of the bank.
- Liaise with other support functions to ensure client service delivery

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a combination of strong interpersonal skills, technical acumen, and strategic thinking. You should have experience in financial services, specifically within the banking or financial institutions sector, with a proven ability to manage complex client portfolios and navigate ambiguous environments.
