JOB SUMMARY

Manage the Retail Analytics functions for Retail Banking & Wealth Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

•    Contribute to WRB data and analytic strategy and capability to ensure alignment to priority business objectives 
•    Promote and develop data driven decision solutions to drive business opportunities 
•    Explore and develop data monetization solutions that provide ROI to WRB 
•    Use data, analytics and insights to identify cost efficiency and process improvements opportunities across WRB 
•    Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

Business
•    Partner with business to drive Customer, Product & Portfolio Analytics support for the business opportunities across life cycle.
•    Create and deliver the business decision supportive MIS reports, performance management at regular frequencies across Retail and WRB functions.
•    Managing cross-sell & up-sell programs, customer leads management process for sales. 
•    Use data driven insights recommend improvements to current programs.  
•    Manage the sales incentives, performance & productivity reviews across channels.
•    Campaign management process for all the business activities from lead generation process to post implementation review.
•    Data centralization, governance & integrity process control management.
•    Ensure Compliance to group policies and regulatory requirements
•    Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates

•    Responsible for executing, supervising and improving the retail data processes.

People & Talent
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations for their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
•    Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
•    Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
•    Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
•    Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.

Risk Management
•    Act as the data risk control owner under the Group's Risk Management Framework (including relevant Operational Risk Framework ownership for data risk as applied to WRB Vietnam.
•    Identify key risks and issues across Retail Analytics team and work collaboratively to put in place appropriate controls and measures.

Governance
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Ensure Compliance to group policies and regulatory requirements

Business Analytics: 
Acts as key trusted advisor to the business in defining business needs and requirements, and solutioning on business issues to be solved.
•    Guides others in applying appropriate statistical concepts and techniques to analyse business problems and opportunities.
•    Applies predictive modelling techniques to interpret rewards vs risks of recommendations to support business decision making.
•    Reviews analysis to ensure insights and recommendations produced are sound and that the business function’s financial, performance and operational data are holistically accounted for. 
•    Presents business performance insights and recommendations to senior management. 
•    Makes recommendations regarding improvement of business analytics practices, processes and technologies.

Data Monetisation: 
Provides strategic guidance on the methods of monetising direct and indirect data sources.
•    Develops innovative data and analytics processes and systems to support the leveraging of various types of data monetisation in the Bank.
•    Drives the implementation of various types of data monetisation and capitalises the use of data across the Bank’s core functions.
•    Understands and considers the risks and implications of data monetisation for the Bank.

Impact Measurement: 
Develops impact measurement targets for plans, events and/or campaigns organised in line with industry benchmarks.
•    Develops systems and guides others in the usage of relevant methods and/or liaising with the right stakeholders to collect and process data tied to the metrics. 
•    Evaluates techniques and which contexts they may be best applied in, and provides solutions to address challenges in impact measurement.
•    Ensures appropriate metrics are being measured to determine the effectiveness of plans, events or campaigns in driving business results in line with the Bank’s goals, strategies and priorities.
•    Quantifies impact and supports integration of impact outcomes when making financial management decisions.
•    Recommends improvement efforts to plans, events and/or campaigns organised to drive intended business results.

Operational Risk: 
Develops operational risk mitigation plans and reviews risk response activities.
•    Supports the development of the Bank’s operational risk policy (i.e., enterprise risk strategies and business continuity planning)
•    Monitors and anticipates movement in the market such as legal and technological changes, and determines if mitigative actions are required.
•    Recommends course of action on the Bank’s financing / investing activities and decisions based on operational risk analysis insights and Bank’s risk appetite.
•    Guides others in applying the right operational risk measurement techniques to measure and analyse the Bank’s exposure to such risks.

Statistical Analysis: 
•    Applies advanced statistical techniques to develop statistical models that solves complex business problems.
•    Advises business stakeholders / clients’ on making business decisions based off results produced by a statistical analysis.
•    Guides others in constructing research designs and statistical experiments, and the application of appropriate statistical techniques to answer different business problems.
•    Guides others in conducting statistical analysis and interpreting results, and advise the businesses on solutions.
Project & stakeholder management and communication skills.
