The Role Responsibilities
As a Business Acquisition Manager, you will play a critical role in expanding Standard Chartered's customer base by sourcing New to Bank (NTB) Priority Banking customers through a strategic and need-based approach. This role requires dynamic engagement with potential clients to introduce them to our banking solutions and to facilitate smooth handovers to the Relationship Manager (RM) channel for asset under management (AUM) qualification.
- Drive and achieve sales targets aligned with new business acquisition goals, ensuring measurable growth in the priority banking segment.
- Conduct thorough marketing and targeted telemarketing campaigns using provided leads, and perform account management activities to nurture prospects towards meeting the AUM qualification threshold.
- Actively participate in client-facing events such as market outlook seminars, lifestyle events, and year-end gatherings for Priority and Commercial Clients, facilitating networking opportunities and expanding referral channels.
- Support sales promotions and other marketing activities aimed at exceeding defined sales targets, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to maximize impact.
- Prepare, analyse, and consolidate detailed sales activity reports to provide insights on market trends, client engagement metrics, and sales performance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions and customer needs to adapt strategies proactively and identify emerging opportunities.
This position demands a high degree of proactivity, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset to build lasting client relationships and contribute to the bank's strategic growth initiatives.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in the financial services sector or related sales and service industries, demonstrating notable success in customer acquisition and relationship management.
- A comprehensive understanding of financial products and a strong familiarity with the geographic and demographic characteristics of the branch’s marketing area.
- Exceptional ability to execute plans with a strong performance orientation and a passion for achieving and surpassing set sales goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging diverse clients and internal stakeholders with professionalism and empathy.
- High levels of self-motivation and resilience, able to handle rejection positively and adapt in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Demonstrated aptitude for building rapport quickly and providing solutions tailored to clients’ unique financial needs.
- Capable of working collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual accountability for results.
