Job Description: 

Job Summary

Responsible for managing the day-to-day Transfer Agency operations for mutual funds where Standard Chartered Bank acts as the Custodian Bank. The role ensures accurate processing of investor transactions, regulatory compliance, timely reporting, and effective team management while supporting the Financing and Securities Services business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Transfer Agency operations, including subscription and redemption transactions.
  • Ensure transaction processing, settlements, and reporting are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor instructions from Fund Managers and Selling Agents and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Review and authorize payment instructions and transaction-related documentation.
  • Prepare and submit operational, management, and regulatory reports.
  • Manage client and investor enquiries related to transactions and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.

  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Good understanding of the financial services industry, particularly investment funds, custody, or securities services.
  • Knowledge of operational controls, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing and improving operational processes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Familiarity with investment products, fund administration, or related financial services products and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and people management skills.
