The role holder will be part of the Core Wealth Platform Hive and will be accountable for leading the journey design and implementation of Wealth Cash Account (WCA) product delivery. The role will translate business, product, operations, risk and technology requirements into an executable backlog and delivery roadmap, ensuring that WCA becomes the target wealth settlement and investment account proposition for eligible clients while maintaining strong controls, operational readiness and client experience.

The Journey Lead role will lead cross-functional alignment across Wealth Product, Lending, Operations, Digital Channels, Core Banking, Payments, Credit Risk, Compliance, Architecture and Technology teams. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Wealth Management, lending / overdraft products, account opening and servicing journeys, core banking platforms, client settlement processes and Agile delivery. The successful candidate will be expected to manage complex dependencies across multiple systems and stakeholders, drive prioritization trade-offs, and ensure delivery outcomes are aligned to the Wealth strategy, Hive OKRs and Group risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

•    Own the WCA product backlog and roadmap, ensuring features are prioritized based on client value, business outcomes, operational readiness, risk reduction and delivery feasibility.
•    Lead journey design include account opening, overdraft set-up, collateral / settlement treatment, purchasing power / limit considerations, servicing, migration and exception handling.
•    Convert business and control requirements into clear epics, features and user stories, with acceptance criteria that are testable and understood by engineering, operations and business stakeholders.
•    Drive alignment across impacted platforms and processes, including T24 / core banking, digital channels, client onboarding, online journeys, payments, credit / limit management, statements, reporting and downstream operational platforms.
•    Ensure the squads have a well-refined backlog with sufficient ready work, removing ambiguity and escalating blockers, impediments and dependency risks early.
•    Partner with Scrum Master, Engineering Lead, Business Analysts and Technology teams to deliver sprint, release and programmed commitments with appropriate governance and transparency.
•    Represent client, RM/CSM, Operations, Product, Credit Risk and Compliance perspectives in backlog decisions and delivery forums.
•    Lead release planning, UAT support, production readiness, operational handover, issue triage and post-implementation stabilization for WCA features.
•    Ensure all required delivery artefacts, controls, risk assessments, testing evidence and assurance deliverables meet Group standards, including NWOWS, CGP and applicable change governance requirements.

Strategy
•    Support the strategic direction of WCA as a simplified, multi-currency wealth settlement and investment account proposition for eligible Wealth clients.
•    Shape the delivery roadmap for WCA lending-client capabilities, balancing MVP delivery, day-2 enhancements, migration considerations and target-state simplification of client account structures.
•    Work with Hive and Cluster leadership to align WCA delivery to Wealth Management priorities, investment appetite, platform strategy and operational resilience objectives.
•    Identify opportunities to simplify client and staff journeys, reduce account proliferation, streamline lending settlement flows and enhance straight-through processing.

Business
•    Maintain strong engagement with Wealth Product, Lending, Country Business, COO / Operations, Front Office, Credit Risk, Compliance, Legal, Digital and Technology stakeholders.
•    Ensure delivery decisions are anchored in business value, client outcomes, risk appetite, operational feasibility and measurable adoption / readiness criteria.
•    Define and manage product acceptance criteria covering customer journey, front-office journey, operational handling, control points, MI / reporting, exception management and communication readiness.
•    Provide transparent status updates to Hive / Domain governance forums, including progress, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions required and delivery confidence.

Processes
•    Design and embed end-to-end WCA client processes covering new-to-wealth lending, existing lending clients, overdraft set-up, collateral / settlement account usage, transfers, payments restrictions and servicing.
•    Partner with Operations and Technology define process controls, exception queues, operational handoffs, reconciliation needs, reporting, cut-off considerations and production support procedures.
•    Drive process standardization and automation opportunities to reduce manual intervention, improve client experience and reduce operational risk.
•    Use data and delivery metrics to monitor progress, quality, adoption, defects, incidents and value realization.

People & Talent
•    Act as a role model for the Group’s values and behaviours, building a culture of client centricity, accountability, transparency and collaboration.
•    Create clarity for squad members and stakeholders by setting clear outcomes, priorities, definitions of done and decision principles.
•    Promote a psychologically safe, high-performing squad environment where risks, blockers and delivery trade-offs are surfaced early.
•    Coach and support Business Analysts and squad members in understanding WCA lending-client journeys, product intend and acceptance criteria.

Risk Management
•    Ensure WCA lending-client delivery is designed and implemented within the Bank’s risk appetite, with appropriate consideration of credit, operational, conduct, regulatory, technology and data risks.
•    Proactively identify, assess, escalate and manage risks related to account opening, overdraft utilisation, collateral treatment, purchasing power, payments restrictions, settlement flows, migration and client communications.
•    Ensure production issues, defects and control gaps are triaged with clear ownership, root cause analysis, remediation actions and stakeholder communication.
•    Partner with Risk, Brand & Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Technology teams to validate control design and operational readiness before go-live.

Governance
•    Maintain adherence to Group policies, control standards, change governance and delivery assurance requirements.
•    Ensure effective governance over backlog prioritization, scope changes, dependency decisions, risk acceptance, deployment readiness and post-release stabilization.
•    Constructively challenge stakeholders where proposed solutions create unacceptable risk, client detriment, operational complexity or divergence from target-state architecture.
•    Maintain clear audit trail of decisions, assumptions, acceptance criteria, risks, open actions and sign-offs.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
