Job Summary

Pakistan Data Centre currently processing daily end of day and related processes for core banking and allied applications including housekeeping & backups. 

Key Responsibilities

  • End to end service delivery, shift activities, and communications to business and operations.
  • All routine jobs including End of Day, End of Month and End of Year processes activities are carried out as per defined process checklist within agreed service hours.
  • To ensure that all systems backups are taken as per schedule and logs are checked and maintained properly.
  • To ensure that all system backup and restorations at DR site are conducted as per schedule and within given time.
  • Media policy to follow for handling, transporting to off-site location, retention & secure management of backup tapes.
  • KCSA and KRI must maintained and audit risk items to be addressed timely.
  • All routine reports and downloads dispatched to units/departments within allocated time and as per process defined into daily checklist. 
  • Data Centre physical and environmental security must be followed with reference of Group Information Security policy (GIS) to compliance.
  • Ensure that the environment condition and requirement for the hardware and allied equipment’s and structure are met in accordance with recommended specifications as per SCB Global Engineering Specifications.
  • All critical and sensitive documents, keys must be kept into fireproof safe. 
  • Closely monitor change management to determine impact of proposed change in hardware or software into system and service to user.
  • Timely escalate system related problem when observed to certain levels as per problem escalation matrix. Assist support staff to diagnose and re-solve problems.  
  • Timely respond upon all periodic group related information and updates. 
  • Involve into BCP/DR as and when scheduled
