Job Summary

Managing the Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk (CFCR) function in Pakistan. This includes oversight of Conduct, Financial Crime and Compliance related matters in country

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of the Standard Chartered Bank Financial Crime Risk framework in Pakistan. Financial Crime Risk for this role covers: anti-money laundering, countering terrorist financing, countering weapons proliferation financing, compliance with financial sanctions and asset freezes; and anti-bribery. Driving the delivery and execution of the various Financial Crime and Conduct Risk (CFCR) frameworks in Pakistan, in compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies, standards and codes so that SCB operates within the letter and spirit of the laws and in so doing protect the reputation of Standard Chartered Bank with its regulators and balance the expectations of other stakeholders.
• Working collaboratively with other relevant Financial Crime and Conduct Risk (CFCR) teams, Business Advisory and Financila Crime, to support the function's stakeholders (including those in the businesses) for all Financial Crime and Conduct Risk (CFCR) related issues and risks in Pakistan.
• Leading Pakistan Financial Crime and Conduct Risk (CFCR) function to meet its commitment of being "Here for Good".
• Proactively supporting and challenging the country CEO, businesses, and functions to exhibit appropriate conduct, comply with regulatory and Conduct Financial Crime Risk requirements and strive to achieve fair outcome for the Group's clients.
• Maintaining independence, delivering timely responses, and timely escalation of risks and issues where the management tolerance of the Group is exceeded for Pakistan.
• Local Regulatory understanding and experience of dealing with officials of regulatory bodies at all levels especially senior management of State Ban Pakistan/Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. 
• Periodically update Board / Sub-Committee on the status of Financial Crime and Conduct Risk (CFCR) risks and highlight challenges, if any.
• Stakeholder management both locally and with Standard Chartered network globally
