Job Description: 

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for defining and delivering the country technology strategy, infrastructure, service management, and production engineering capabilities, ensuring secure, resilient, compliant, and cost-effective technology services across all business segments in Pakistan. The role serves as the primary technology partner to Country and Business leadership, translating business priorities into technology roadmaps, investment decisions, and transformation outcomes while coordinating support from Group Technology. Additionally, the role leads the Country Technology organisation, overseeing governance, risk, regulatory and audit requirements, and operational resilience, while fostering a strong talent culture and ensuring alignment with Group standards, local regulations, and the Bank’s Code of Conduct.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business strategies into technology roadmaps, capacity plans, and investment initiatives, ensuring technology support and funding align with approved business plans.

• Develop and lead the country technology strategy, acting as the primary technology partner to business and country leadership while aligning local priorities with Group Technology objectives.

• Lead the delivery of technology projects, system implementations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution, production readiness, and transition to operations.

• Drive innovation, digitization, and process simplification by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, improve client experience, and support business growth.

• Manage the country technology budget, monitor financial performance, and prioritize investments and service improvement initiatives to maximize value and operational effectiveness.

• Ensure the delivery of resilient, secure, and high-performing technology infrastructure, service management, and production engineering capabilities, consistently meeting agreed service levels and business expectations.

• Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes, including root cause analysis, recovery communications, preventive actions, and governance of production changes in line with Group and regional standards.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate technology, cybersecurity, and operational risks while ensuring compliance with risk frameworks, audit requirements, disaster recovery, business continuity, and information security standards.

• Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, Anti Money Laundering /Counter-Terrorism Financing , sanctions, and governance requirements while fostering strong relationships with regulators and external auditors.

• Provide leadership to the Country Technology function, managing key stakeholder relationships across business, risk, finance, sourcing, and technology teams, while ensuring effective vendor governance, service delivery, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications
