Job Summary
This role will be responsible for supporting the execution of the Markets Pakistan strategy through effective business management, governance, and risk oversight. The incumbent will partner with local and regional stakeholders to drive business initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen control frameworks, and deliver operational efficiencies across the Markets business
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the Markets Pakistan strategy and deliver key business initiatives in alignment with global Markets objectives.
- Drive governance, regulatory compliance, and non-financial risk management to maintain a strong control environment.
- Partner with local, regional, and global stakeholders to support business priorities and strategic decision-making.
- Oversee dealing room governance, including business continuity, capacity planning, access controls, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate audits, regulatory inspections, and second-line reviews, ensuring timely remediation of identified issues.
- Monitor, assess, and escalate key business, operational, and regulatory risks through appropriate governance forums.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, controls, and business effectiveness.
- Promote a strong culture of ethics, conduct, and compliance in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support cost discipline and business management activities to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of Markets products
- Expertise in governance, controls, and regulatory frameworks within a banking environment.
- Strong project management and change implementation capability.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across local, regional, and global teams.
- Sound understanding of risk management, audit, and regulatory requirements
- Experience in Markets COO, Business Management, Governance & Control, Risk Management, Treasury, or Markets Operations roles.
