Job Summary

Manager, Financial and Regulatory Reporting to manage all aspects of our organization's Financial & Reporting related activities. Well versed with international accounting standards and regulations, as well as a proven track record in Reporting, planning and driving Finance agenda

Key Responsibilities

•    Ensuring compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) compliant Group Financial Accounting Policies and Procedures for IFRS and management reporting.
•    Ensuring compliance with the Local Financial Accounting Policies that are in line with locally applicable IFRS and local regulations / laws / statutes.
•    To identify, analyse and resolve accounting issues in connection with the application of IFRS, introduction of new products / transactions, local regulations etc.   
•    To support in preparation of accurate segmental management and statutory financials to the Group and Board / shareholders respectively.
•    Facilitation of external audits in so far as they relate to financial reporting and related matters.
•    Timely submission of regulatory reporting returns.
•    Facilitation of Central Bank inspection and routine enquiries in so far as they relate to financial reporting and related matters.
•    Resolve queries raised by group reporting teams.
•    Assist the Head Financial and Regulatory Reporting and Financial Controller in the preparation of key analysis (including benchmarking reports) for presentation to the Bank’s Management Committee and Board of Directors along with other action items of Board for Finance.

•    Preparation of the quarterly group IFRS reporting pack in line with group guidelines and policies
•    Monitor new regulations and circulars issued by the regulator and assess their impact on reporting and compliance requirements.
•    Coordinate with external auditors for interim and year-end audits, ensuring smooth audit processes and compliance with reporting standards.
•    Maintain strong internal controls over financial and regulatory reporting processes.
•    Ensure accuracy and integrity of data sourced from core banking systems and general ledger.
•    Consolidate financial data across business units and ensure proper reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement items.
•    Prepare and assist in preparation of key deliverables for the local board and audit committee. 
•    Prepare and consolidate data for analysis of Peer Group/ Other banks.
•    Develop and maintain reporting policies, procedures, and documentation in line with internal governance and regulatory standards.
•    Support internal audit reviews, risk assessments, and compliance testing related to reporting functions.
•    Support management with financial analysis, variance explanations, and reporting packs for decision-making.
•    Work closely with business finance teams to achieve high standard quality of work. 
•    Analyse country performance against budget, highlight variances and prepare reasoning with support of business finance teams.
