Job Summary
Manage and Plan network operations, ensuring they met organizational requirements for functionality, security, and performance. Analyse the business needs, recommend, and implement the solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute network strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead and manage a team of network professionals, ensuring efficient collaboration and skill development.
• Plan and design robust and scalable network architectures to support business requirement.
• Oversee the implementation of network solutions, ensuring they meet security and performance standards.
• Address complex network issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to ensure network reliability.
• Collaborate with vendors for network equipment, services and support, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Implement and monitor network security measures to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorised access.
• Establish and enforce network policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security.
• Work closely with other departments to understand their network needs and align solutions accordingly.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement relevant advancements in network infrastructures.
• Manage operationally and troubleshooting of the Bank enterprise LAN/WAN/MAN networks and be responsible to the operation of in-country LAN/WAN/MAN networks.
• Manage network throughput analysis, and capacity planning for the Bank networks.
• Interfacing with engineering and stakeholder team balancing conformance to engineering standard against project requirement.
• Develop influential and trustworthy working relationships with other technology and business peers to achieve performance objectives. This should be aimed at improving team efficiency in performing their work
• To manage external vendors that provide the Bank with solutions and ensure that they can deliver the Service Level Agreement the Bank has agreed with.
• Service Management of Network Managed Services
• To ensure processes, guidelines and procedures are in place and enforced for quality in installation, running, operating and support of the Bank networks. To review & fine-tune the existing processes, guidelines, and procedures by comparing with the industry best practise.
• To evaluate the technology solutions delivered by business and Information Security and develop the acceptance criteria and process for the operability and supportability of the solutions.
• To ensure that technical solutions proposed satisfy both the immediate and long-term needs of the business, and ensure adherence with the Group’s technical and security standards in all aspects of the team’s activities.
• To manage the network solutions in the provision of business recovery sites to give the ability to conduct business transactions and monitor exposure in the event of a disaster and to coordinate and to conduct network switching for the disaster recovery and business continuity plan exercises to those systems/infrastructures twice a year as per audit requirement.
• To ensure that existing and new systems conform to Bank networking standards.
• To assist IT Managers / Technology Team by providing necessary information and providing solutions and implement the agreed audit findings actions for internal and external audits.
• To assist IT Managers by providing necessary information for annual budgeting purpose on the aspects of network resources, equipment and services procurement and maintenance.
• To look after Network outsourcing and manage outsourced workers to run smooth network.
• Immediately update line manager and then higher up in case of critical situation or high severity incident occurs.
• Keep line manager and then higher up updated at regular intervals about progress with resolution of the incident and task.
