Job Description: 

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for leading the implementation of regulatory requirements at the branch level, ensuring operational compliance, and overseeing readiness for audits and inspections. The investment advisor will act as the point person for translating regulatory updates into actionable branch procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit periodic compliance and regulatory implementation reports for senior management, ensuring timely escalation of any critical compliance breaches or regulatory risks. Track and analyze regulatory KPIs and branch compliance scores to support informed decision-making.
  • Proactively coordinate with various stakeholders, including the Head Office Compliance Department, Operations Risk/Internal Audit teams, Branch Managers, and SBP inspection teams as required, to facilitate seamless compliance processes.
  • Review and recommend updates to branch policies, SOPs, and operational processes, ensuring alignment with both regulatory requirements and Group expectations. Support the adaptation of operational procedures to evolving regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Monitor regulatory/internal ICPs (Internal Control Points) and GPIs (Group Performance Indicators) relevant to branch operations, following up with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of control observations, exceptions, and compliance gaps. Prepare and present management dashboards, MIS, and status reports on regulatory projects and compliance metrics for senior management.
  • Drive process automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives, while upholding strong internal controls. Contribute to reinforcing the first line of defense controls within branch operations.
  • Lead by example to foster a culture of compliance and integrity, ensuring ongoing training and development for all staff. Review team structure, set clear objectives, and provide feedback and recognition in line with performance and organizational values.
  • Support the implementation of both group and local strategies relating to business growth, controls, and compliance. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and contribute to achieving both financial and non-financial objectives.
