Title: Senior Manager Transformation & Franchise

Job Summary
This role will be responsible for managing the overall Branch Network investment agenda, leading and managing the Branch optimization plan, and implementing Group-driven Franchise Development and business projects for the countrywide Branch Network. The successful candidate will review the Cost to Income ratio of each branch and work closely with the Digital team, Distribution, and Group teams to ensure the implementation of best practices executed in other markets. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive efficiency and growth across the branch network.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing overall Branch Network related investment agenda driven by Standard Chartered Group.
• Work closely with Digital team, Distribution, IT, and Group teams to ensure we implement the best practices executed in other markets.
• Lead and manage Branch optimization plan (Closure/Relocations/Opening/ renovation Projects for the country)
• Implementing Group driven Franchise Development/ business projects for countrywide Branch Network
• Maintenance and up keeping of franchise network countrywide
• Adapt and implement global campaign initiatives for the distribution network resulting in business performance and enhancing customer experience journey.
• Implementation of global standards around key customer touch-points including priority banking centres, hotlines, online banking interactive kiosks, etc.
• Fulfilment of regulatory obligations related to franchise development to avoid penal action from regulators
• Review the Cost to Income of each of the branch
• Review & submit the city wise profitability to group
• Identify the non/low profit branches, propose the plan for improving the profitability OR re-location plan.
• Governance of re-location process of Branches.
• Guardian of country models and financial outcomes analysis
• Work on simulation scenarios at country level as we progress through the implementation
• Closely work with country finance to ensure P&L assumptions are in sync with expected volumes
• Continuous validation of actual outcomes vs original assumptions
• Owning the overall cost savings targets within the Country in alignment with the overall RC Strategic Transformation effort
• Manage transition for all departments by working with Country top team and Group Program Manager, Transformation
• Deep engagement on a regular basis to micromanage transition
• Review the Transition path, by country or by job families.
• Collaboratively working with Communication to ensure regular & timely updates (achievements & plan ahead) to all internal & external stakeholders
• Collaboratively working with Training to deliver skill upgrading programs for all role holders in a time bound manner as per group direction
• Building alignment / conviction and support through repeated syndications & engagement with key stakeholders
• Role modeling change personally – and getting all senior leadership to do the same
• Acting as the single point of cross-function collaboration to deliver the full change. Helping each unit work in tandem (Segment, Product, Analytics, Country etc.) and resolving issues, if any
• Ensure that governance frameworks and controls are being considered thoroughly and maintained throughout the change process
• Manage the design of balance scorecards for Retail Banking.
• Performance evaluation of Retail Banking.
