Job Summary
This is a regional role to manage Account Receivable (AR) & Fixed Asset for Standard Chartered Global Business Services Sdn. Bhd (FA) & Account Payable, Account Receivable, Fixed Asset, Cash Management(CM), Regulatory Requirement on computer application system compliance update for Standard Chartered Group Services, Manila Incorporated.

This role to ensure the AP, AR, FA and CM operate smoothly and comply Group’s policies and standards, relevant international / local tax, accounting standard, and compliance to local government requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- This role is to provide ‘real time’ support and analysis, to be trusted advisor and add value that will assist in Finance Operations.
- Experience from other financial roles in Finance Operations relates to AP/AR/FA/CM. In addition to this, one must have a vast knowledge of the business industry and have a range of skills.
- Accounts Receivables: Coordinate with business stakeholders and work closely with Group Chief Financial Office (GCFO) billing team to ensure monthly billings process accurately and within the timeline.
• Work closely with respective country to ensure collection within the timeline and aging not exceeded 180 days. - Fixed Assets: Ensure accurate recording and tagging of company assets, including proper depreciation, disposal, and write-off processes.
• Perform assets verifications annually.
• Establishes and maintenance of records and procedures for the accountability of asset.
- Accounts Payables:
• Managing vendors payment and employee expense claims process
• Planning and execution of the vendor payment pay cycles, ensure payment on time.
• Vendor Reconciliation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholder (GCFO) and external stakeholder i.e. vendor to ensure compliant of local regulatory requirement i.e. Value Added Tax, Sales and Services Tax, Withholding Tax & etc.
• Manage Group Delegation Authority Limits (GDAM) for e-Procurement and system request. - Cashflow Management:
• Cashflow Management i.e. monitor balance for payroll, vendor and staff payment and loan settlement.
• Work closely with correspondent bank to ensure smooth operations
• Manage risk i.e. fraudulence transaction.
• Compliance on Onboarding correspondent bank. - Others:
• Manage month end closing, perform journal posting for payment and bank reconciliation.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement through control, process, and system improvement projects.
• Manage relevant IGA/SLA’s and production KPI’s. Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of any queries or disputes.
• Audit request
• Active participation in any Group / GBS Hubs projects or initiative.
• Update Process Operating Instruction document upon required / as per timeline.
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager and the Unit Operation Risk Manager in identifying and managing key risk areas; ensure compliance and improve internal controls and financial processes for the Company. This includes building management and operational control awareness within Country Finance team and ensure applicable policies and procedures are documented and embedded in operating manuals and instructions
- Support compliance initiatives relevant to the function.
- Review and challenge remediation / treatment plan set by the function to effectively mitigate risks / remediate control weaknesses / issues
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience
Relevant Assistant Finance Manager experience, including:
- Financial compliance.
- Accounting standards/ policies and Financial Control framework.
- Regulatory compliance.
- Data Analysis
- Results and outcome focused
- Communication skills at the individual and organisation levels:
- Clearly conveys information and ideas.
- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge in financial system eg: MS Office, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft
- Continuous Improvement (CI) within the function.
- Experience in MNCs
Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in accountancy
- Minimum 2 – 3 years of working experience as Assistant Finance Manager with strong knowledge in Finance Operations
- Experience in financial services industry will be added advantage.
- Hands on approach and result oriented.
- Intermediate / Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Performed variance analysis in previous roles.
- Dealt with auditors, regulatory authorities
