Title: Cross Border Proposition Manager

Job Summary
The role involves building and developing acquisition channels specifically targeting Global Indian clients, and is responsible for formulating and executing the bank's strategic and business development plans aimed at attracting cross-border clients, with a focus on affluent individuals and SMEs, particularly from the South Asia corridor (India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan), leveraging current Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) opportunities
Key responsibilities include:
- Expanding the bank's reach in foreign markets by introducing both traditional and innovative customer-focused and industry-focused products and solutions, supported by exceptional customer service, to foster long-term relationships with International Banking customers.
- Managing the development and implementation of leading practices in Cross-Border and International Banking operations to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Overseeing the rollout of International Banking and Cross-border products and services across multiple markets to achieve business growth and expansion targets.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and Priority Banking profitability.
- Drive the growth of International Banking and cross-border SME businesses by delivering exceptional financial solutions to clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and client needs in various international markets
- Spearhead and support the development of strategic initiatives to optimize performance in terms of revenue and client quality.
- Apply analytical approaches to business opportunities and challenges, including benchmark evaluation and data analysis, to support strategic initiatives
- Engage with prospective cross-border/International Banking clients to understand their needs and present tailored banking solutions
- Develop partnerships with foreign institutions and external cross-border channels/platforms to expand the bank’s potential client base.
- Responsible for new sales revenue generated from Global Indians Relationship Managers (RMs) and Assistant Relationship Managers (ARMs) through wealth sales and banking product cross-selling.
- Oversee the onboarding of Global Indians Priority New to Bank (NTB) and New to Segment (NTS) accounts through the Global Indian Team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, MBA) is preferred
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages relevant to the South Asia region (e.g., Hindi, Bengali, Urdu) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in international banking, cross-border banking, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and managing affluent individual and SME client portfolios, particularly within the South Asia region (India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan).
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth and expansion in international markets.

- Strong understanding of international banking products, services, and solutions, with the ability to introduce innovative and customer-focused offerings.
- Excellent market research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, competitor activities, and client needs in various international markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and partnerships with foreign institutions and external cross-border channels/platforms
- Strong management skills, with experience overseeing the implementation of best practices in Cross-Border and International Banking operations.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive profitability in Priority Banking and SME segments
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence prospective clients and stakeholder
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset to optimize business performance
