Job Summary

The role supports both the decision-making and the execution of the strategy across Credit Card businesses in multiple markets. While countries retain P&L Ownership and remain responsible for a control environment (incl. local regulatory engagement), this Credit Card Product Manager role would help with analytical and product management work to arrive at optimal delivery of the strategy  (risk analysis, operational  engagement, market insights etc.), engage with local stakeholders to align to a market agenda, support on decision-making, including risk strategies and control issues.

 

Strategy
•    Leads the Installment program single-account economic value added and portfolio P&L models, identifies opportunities for interest revenue / fee revenue / cost optimization & develops execution strategies. 

Business
•    Supports execution by engaging with analytics and finance teams for modelling, operations teams and third parties for fulfilment, one delivery team for tech / experience changes.
•    Works with one delivery team / tech teams to deliver improvement to customer digital jounreys including back book migration journey.
•    Market monitoring to ensure product competitiveness as well as early identification of opportunities and threats.
•    Develops and analyses campaign liaising with country product and segment teams,   analitycs team as well as analytical centre of excellence.

Processes
•    Tracks and optimizes cost of acquisitions across various channels, supports the front-end engagement as necessary.
•    Supports market portfolio run-off programs as well balance sheet optimisation through line management, usage campaigns and installment x-sell
•    Supports campaign criteria creation, analytics team engagement, database validation.  

People & Talent
•    Leads by example, sets appropriate tone & expectations from teams (incl. cross-functional stakeholders in other markets), and works with partners’ alliance/support. Ability to collaborate cross geographies, functions, and levels.  Respects differences in cultures & opinions to promote an inclusive environment where all can drive towards common goal

Risk Management
•    Risk analysis incl. direct engagement with 2LOD to arrive at recommendations on optimal Risk Management decisions. Supports Credit Risk Tests (CET) development.

Governance
•    Manages implementation of key policies, standards, regulations and country scheme mandates
•    Supports regulatory engagement by preparing materials and data as required by country teams.
•    Ensure all processes are carried out efficiently and are fully compliant to internal and external compliance/ regulatory requirements.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education:  Degree in Business or a related field
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of experience within the banking industry, with a strong preference for expertise in credit card product strategy, development, and management
  • Product Management:
    • Demonstrated experience in product management, with a proven track record of leveraging data and analytics to derive insights and drive decision-making
  • Business Solutions:
    • Proven credentials in delivering product and business solutions, with a strong interest in payment technology and innovation
  • Leadership & Execution:
    • Strategic thought leadership combined with a bias towards execution to drive initiatives and achieve key results.
  • Skills:
    • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
    • Deep understanding of new technology payment business models and profitability driver
    • Interpersonal, communication, negotiating and influencing skills   
    • Change management, knowledge of bank’s systems and platforms   
    • Understand Risk Frameworks   
    • Understanding Credit Card and Wealth Retail Banking financial model
