Job Description: 

Job Summary

The Head of Bumi Affluent Segments is a critical role that will lead the pivot of the franchise to Bumi affluent through development of a holistic Shariah Compliance affluent segment offering. 
This will involve building a best-in-class client value proposition (CVP) with a key focus on international banking solutions, managing the affluent portfolio and leading initiatives for sales coverage and frontline enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

•    Build a best-in-class, Shariah compliance wealth-led affluent client value proposition. Lead implementation, delivery & monitoring of the CVP
•    Drive affluent portfolio quality and growth in portfolio metrics – net new money, qualified clients and wealth activation
•    Lead design of a comprehensive International Banking proposition across key corridor markets of the Bank
•    Design & manage Affluent RM sales coverage strategy and drive frontline enablers to realise business aspirations 

 

Business

CVP
•    Build a Shariah compliance wealth-led affluent CVP – leverage market insights, competition offerings and current product suite to assess gaps and recommend suitable solutions
•    Build partnerships & alliances with providers across travel, hospitality, lifestyle management, professional consultancies etc to enhance CVP
•    Identify and solve for key affluent client product requirements across advisory, bespoke wealth solutions, deposits, cards and lending
•    Enhance and scale the rewards, privileges & experiences offered to affluent clients. Deliver premium concierge offerings & bespoke experiences
•    Marketing & Brand: Work to launch and develop high-visibility marketing campaigns to enhance the Standard Chartered affluent brand
•    NPS: Drive best-in-class Net Promoter Scores across affluent segment proposition, products and platforms
Portfolio Management
•    Drive affluent portfolio quality and growth in portfolio metrics: Net new money, % of AUM qualified clients, % of wealth active clients, wealth needs met and new to wealth 
•    Monitor portfolio profitability and client level revenue and costs
•    Design a continuous upgrade / downgrade programme, employing analytics to uncover ‘hidden’ Priority and Private clients
•    Define optimal client mix in Priority RM portfolio, with process for continuous client regrades between RM channels and segments basis client behaviour and product uptake

•    Define an attrition management strategy: analyse trends and insights on qualified to unqualified slide backs, AUM drop, segment and wealth attrition. Implement initiatives in partnership with marketing and analytics for pro-active management of attrition and win back
Sales Coverage & RM Enablement
•    Design Bumi Affluent sales coverage strategy including RM-client loading, scorecards, productivity. Monitor sales performance, productivity & participation to align with business goals
•    Design enablers to drive upskilling and retention of RMs. Design new RM onboarding strategy and strategy for upskilling existing RMs covering training, management development programmes and building bench strength
•    Design a client continuum for high-end affluent clients through sales coverage
•    Implement and drive adoption of RM facing tech platforms across CRMs and transaction execution. Assess gaps in implementation, benchmark with competition and lead tech-led client engagement through RMs

•    Work with cross-functional teams to deliver Bumi Affluent Segment Agenda
•    Nurture & build team talent

•    Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal risk frameworks
•    Monitor market trends and client feedback to proactively address potential risks

 

Governance

•    Maintain robust governance practices 
•    Regularly review segment offerings to ensure alignment with client needs and regulatory requirements
•    Monitor performance and risk metrics
