Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities

•    Liaise with stakeholders from various functions to ensure the compliance with Bank Negara requirement.  

•    Prepare and review regulatory reports (both local BNM and MAS reporting) in accordance to applicable reporting standards, to ensure reports are accurate, compliant and submit on time.
•    Prepare and conduct performance analytics, identify variances and find resolutions, to ensure that report submissions are robust and accurate. 
•    Discuss, provide feedback and develop new regulatory reporting templates (whenever required) with line manager. Identify upstream and downstream dependencies and engage accordingly for necessary data/ information.
•    Coordinate with stakeholders from various functions to obtain information required by Bank Negara and others.
•    Identify and resolve accounting and (regulatory) reporting issues and complete remediation and restatement work for any returns requiring resubmission.
•    Review and document procedures and ensure that desk operating instructions and procedures are up-to-date at all times. 
•    Assist in the development of new group systems or regulatory reporting systems and maintenance/ continuous development of the existing finance systems.
•    Participate in Group projects which have finance systems implications.
•    To continuously review the team’s current workflow methodology and re-engineer processes to derive optimum output.
•    To support the Bank’s ad-hoc activities.
•    Responsibility also extends to activities supporting Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad.

•    Country Finance Team, Group Reporting team (SG), GCFO team 

Qualifications

•    EDUCATION: Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in finance/ accounting / ACCA / CPA qualification
•    LANGUAGES: Minimum Credit in Bahasa Malaysia in SPM and English 

Skills and Experience

•    Graduate in Finance/ Accounting or equivalent.
•    At least 5 years of solid and related working experience is required.
•    Working experience in banking environment and/or audit firms is required.
•    Exposure to regulatory reporting and systems and good knowledge and understanding of the finance function. 
•    Professional qualifications in accounting/finance would have definite advantage.
•    Strong communicator with analytical mindset.
