What is the Opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced transformation focused programme manager to lead and oversee all application related activities associated with the Catalyst IT transformation programme. This role is pivotal in managing programme-level issues, actions, and ensuring seamless application interdependencies both within the Catalyst programme, and with other programmes across the Bank. 

This role demands expert oversight across all application related activities to ensure all teams are executing all aspects of the delivery lifecycle consistently and in an optimised manner. This includes ensuring robust risk management practices, understanding and navigating internal and external dependencies, forging strong business engagement channels, and ensuring the smooth transition and adaptation of applications in the new environment. It's imperative that this individual not only drives the programme to meet technical milestones but also aligns every action with the bank's strategic, regulatory, and business objectives.

The successful candidate will work to bring execution certainty to the Catalyst programme, partnering across the TTO and relevant Business Partner teams to scope and deliver the book of required to meet the required outcomes and Strategy 25 metrics per commitment to the Bank’s Management Team and Board.

The successful candidate should not just have a deep understanding and rich history of delivering projects and programs in a classic and agile context, but also have a broad and progressive change delivery mindset that includes various flavors of new ways of working.
 

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of the Technology Obsolescence Management program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed program roadmap, outlining project milestones, dependencies, and risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, procurement, and external vendors, to execute the program effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal technology policies.

Technology Lifecycle and Obsolescence Planning:

  • Identify and prioritize technology components nearing end-of-life or end-of-support.
  • Develop strategies for timely upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning of obsolete technology.
  • Assess risks associated with legacy systems and implement mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to ensure future-proof technology solutions.

Financial Management:

  • Manage program funding of [estimated budget size, e.g., $XX million], ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Monitor financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost optimization.
  • Provide detailed financial reports and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior executives and stakeholders regarding program progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitate regular program reviews and status updates with key stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment across business units to ensure seamless program delivery.

Our Ideal Candidate Should Have:-

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a professional corporate environment having scoped, shaped and delivered large scale complex projects and programs.
  • The ability to work across domains, partner and coordinate with multiple stakeholders and be able to manage and navigate through ambiguity and organizational complexity.
  • Experience in managing Datacentre Build and Migration projects
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and challenging stakeholder community.
  • An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong ability to analyse and understand project / programme financials and other relevant data points to synthesize observations and/or recommendations for management attention.
  • Strong organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking ability.
  • Strong sense of personal ownership and willingness to roll-up sleeves to drive success.
  • A mindset to continuously learn and develop themselves.
  • An understanding of Strategy covering key operating domains spa
